| If one isn't going to purchase a "high end" watch (eg over $3000), one really shouldn't spend more than $200 on a watch. There are some good boutique companies (eg Skagen), but one should really just buy a Seiko or Timex. They last much longer than most the $200-$1000 watches (eg Citizen), they look good, and they ing tell time. |

Nah, that's bollocks, IMO. It just comes down to what you like. Personal preference. I like watches I got a good deal on my TAG... it was still $1300, but I really like it, and it's a good quality time-piece.
I also grew up wearing a watch, so if I don't have one on my arm, I still look at my wrist every 10 mins, it's annoying :p I don't wear any other types of "jewellery". Nice watches are nice. |

Meh I've had a Seiko for the past 10 years and it's been beautiful. No scratches, even survived a bottom of the lake drop, and I've only had to replace the battery once or twice? Can't remember haha.
Anyways, to me, a watch is like the ONLY jewellery a man can wear (other than a couple rings), so why not ing wear the thing. A watch on ANY man looks sublime, and you can tell the time without having to take your phone out like a douche. |

Woa, man, I ing love watches, don't get me wrong. As soon as I walk ten feet from my house, if I don't have a watch on, I notice the lack of weight and get anxious. I always go back in and put one on. Watches and watch accessories (bands and the like) are awesome.
I'm not the biggest TAG fan, personally, though they have a couple beautiful models, but they do make quality watches. Most the one's I've looked at cost between $2000-4000, so I'd consider them more in the "high end" of the scale; the one's I was saying were acceptable :p
I just think the "mid range" watches are pretty much all bull. As I said, they're always overprices for the quality. Seiko and Timex make truly fantastic watches. "High end" watches are awesome [super high end watches are unbelievable], but the mid range ones are just a waste of money, imo. Watches shouldn't be bought for $200-1000. |

damn you're naive...all epic getting pulled down by a 1-2k watch means the bitch strips down naked when she leaves, is that not obvious?
never with a bitch if she has eyes on your wrist or your wallet, you pay a hooker for that because she's leaving with your money after you her and not potentially a whore who takes your wallet and wrist ice cuz you banged her and fell asleep |

I would never buy a Rolex even if I was looking to spend that much. Such better brands for that much money.
Also re: the 200-1,000 watches being bull, I think that idea is a little misguided. As with most things, you get what you pay for. The Tissot I just bought retails for 450 and there's no way you can possibly say a timex or seiko is just as well made. |
