I couldn;t agree more..
Seems like the world is full of trance lovers.. but, what i see on the streets of London(don't know abt the rest of the places).. all that garage and all that ...SAD !!!!
Seems like everyone is listenin to them...it's just the same old in repeat motion.. NO LIFE, NO FEEL and NO HARMONY!
Should bring all these pple and strand them in Ayia Napa ..
so, they can all listen the garage there..
and leave the rest of the world to trance lovers..
Trance is universal!! and we intend to keep it that way..
alrighty!
Cheers! |

| Nice 1 and well said! I also read an article in Mixmag I think about the Garage scene, and that theres been a lot of violence and ! gangs from south and east ends of London have been scraping at various southern Garage clubs, basicially acting like who's the number 1 gangster all that bull! I have no time for s fighting every friday and saturday night as I go out to enjoy myself even if I have been involved in a few fights in the past! but not had one for a year nearly!. The Government always blaim us people who listen to Trance for our drugs but who ing cares anyway people have a right to enjoy themselves and end up on planet mongo and even if they are munching 8 mitzis a night its up to them!, but what about poor kids getting beaten to death at Garage Clubs? The Government should shut them down and off slating our scene! |

yup i agree with you guys totally!when i'm at uni in staffordshire i tend to hear the melodic masterpiece that is trance in the pubs, clubs and cars!the rude boy lookin and oxide n neutrino lovin white boyz don't tend to be heard as such....but as soon as i go home to luton....theres nothin else but that e!many a time i've argued my case to a load of spoony's suckin die hards, but to no avail!even my own brother is big in garage, for s sake!
just be proud that weve got the music for ourselves and in my own selfish way.....i'm glad!!!its the in thing at the moment to like garage which does mean that it is in the lime light n we hear it all the in time but..we can still play our tunes, n dance to our beats (blaze-dance to my beat hehehe!!).4/4 beat music is here for the long term..garage will fade!
leave the wiggaz (white people who think their black!) to it i say!
party hard! |

| yeah I understand what your saying I live not far from you in Northampton we have Trance and Hard House clubs and GodsKitchen and Ultra Vegas do Bi monthlys, but Northampton is better known for Casino and Sidewinder, which is a pity I think its good that Trance keeps a low profile as the Press don't create bull stories, But it needs to be more public as it would be e if everyone liked the same music because who would we have to take the piss out of? But we still need more attention but one thing that pisses me off Is when I hear a tune in a club 6 months before it hits the chart and some who has never set foot in a club acts like they were the first person to hear it, I had to explain that too a few people about Darude Sandstorm, Storm Time To Burn, and Delerium Silence the Tiesto remix, I know the orginal was years old! But getting back to Garage its just an awful phase, and the car park hanging, track suit wearing, jewellery infested, Beema driving, Neutrino and Oxido Wannabe, Mother ******s may see the light at the end of the tunnel |

The only real danger, as you rightly say DJ O'Callaghan, is that trance becomes too popular for its own good. And that when you get chart-poppers coming on to the scene and commercialising the whole thing and thinking they heard it first just because they heard Dave "Fat Twat Monkey Face" Pearce play it as part of his essential mix cool down on a Sunday evening. He is a twat.
All I'll say to you guys is never slag off another style of music. Contrary to what I have said about garage? Yeah, but that's because I can't stand those pricks and the way they slag off trance because its easy to do so, and it make thems feel good.
Here's a philosophical thought for you - music by its inherent nature is to be admired because those who produce it are putting their feelings into a medium. Whether that medium is appealing to you or not is a total matter of taste.
BUT!!!!! If they take that medium purely as an image (wiggaz - 1st time I've heard that - wicked name Volksjoolz!) then they're ing that style up. And pissing you off at the same time. That's what garage is. It may not be the music that you hate, but the people who represent it. Its like football. Do you hate Man U? Those who do, hate them 'cos of their fans. There's no way you can hate them 'cos of the liquid (non-trance!) footie they play. They are brilliant to watch. But their fans will piss you off.
Have I made a point?
Anyway, the fact remains, garage is a pile of PISH and it will be PISH....
FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

hmmmm,... what does Garage music sound like....i'm from the side of the world where people only listen to hip-hop, and country, most of which have never even heard of techno, let alone trance....
anyways, i've read about UK's Garage music, what is it...

basically its a chance for an mc to look like a prat!spittin ova the microphone tryin to rhyme ne bollocks that comes into his head as fast as he can.once done a hideous beat comes in (origional but undancable in my opinon)and thats u.k garage for you!!
Has ne 1 heard the piano song by dj luck n mc neat??basically this 'mc?' trys rhymin by sayin bidibidibdiidbidbidibidibidibidibdi look at my girl ain't she so pretty?or somthin like that?!its apsolute e!!!
Craig david is the more commercial side of garage and can sing (if we are honest)...but what gets me is the fact that he has to pronounce his own name at the beginnin of every song!thats very annoyin!and how long does it take him to do that hair??vain prick!!
and thats it in a nutshell...U.K garage...from a very biased point of view!
enjoy!! |

| Its like a dance version of R&B thats the best way to describe garage and as Voltjoolz said you've got some prick saying rythms down the mic, sounds really , most of its liked by little kids, and plastic rude boys who sit in cars and play their tapes, rather then go to the clubs. thats the scene and Dirty Trancer well said your right about Garage but I don't just man U fans I hate the team as well mate! |

The word "Garage" is covers many different genres so it's not all the same. There's Speed Garage, US Garage etc but the stuff that is REALLY is UK Garage (also known as 2 Step).
This has a hideous image, a horrible and undanceable beat and some fool MC talking about "bo selecta" bollocks! It's nothing short of sad that some people can actually like such ! I bought Baby D "Let Me Be Your Fantasy" for the Rank 1 Remix which was brilliant, but there was also a remix by "Trick Or Treat feat MC Tails" which was so bad it almost deserved a listen. It had this idiot MC Tails spouting a load of e OVER the vocals of the original tune, in fact it's almost worth listening to for a laugh! It's beyond me how somebody could come up with such a load of e!
Ayia Napa = Hell
2 Step = Devil music |
