What a night!
Had an extra guest spot on my list, ran into Time2Burn on line, so I pulled him out of line to be my guest. Met up w/Taub & RubyRiva, my TA buddies from Syracuse & NYC, whom I party with in DC at Glow events. It was Matt's (Taub) 1st time in TO & all he saw was System (they left this morning to drive down to NY to see Mauro there tonite). Got inside (literally) 5 seconds before the rain downpour. Saw several TA's before it got too crowded. There were several friends of mine there that I never saw at all.

Interviewed Mauro for TA in the office before he went on (keep an eye out for a link to the interview & great pics later this week!). Took some wicked pictures of him with my license plate (which he also autographed). His set was AMAZING! So much new stuff. This set was so refreshing for me. That was the 9th time I've seen him, and it was very different from most of his sets that I've seen- a nice change from his traditional formula. All that wicked electro!!! It was really cool of Mauro to hand so many of his records over the glass to Taub so he could write down the names of the tracks. Taub is the master of trainspotting, so I'm sure he will post a set list for us soon. Mauro was really having a good time up there, holding up those Candian & Italian flags, but the best part of the night had to be when he held up my license plate. The whole club ERUPTED in cheers! Completely nuts!!! Guess it was a good idea to bring it in after all. So many people were commenting on it all night. I definitely got my money's worth from my license plate last nite!

Got a hold of one of Mauro's demo cd's (had to fight for it), but OMG was it worth it!!!! Most amazing set!

Shout outs to everyone I saw & didn't see. I had a wonderful time.

Amazing review Nat, I'm so jealous of all you s. Picotto has so much talent as a dj wow. I've never really cared for his sound (not bad just not my flavor) but you have to admit he is one of the most talented dj's out there. Hands down.

I don't get it really.. do you people call any well dressed person a gino? The scene is supposed to be about unity and respect isnt it? Tolerance doesnt really end at races and homosexuals. If thats the way people want to dress then so what... Why do you people let it bother you so much? You shouldnt let the way people dress ruin your fun... just a thought.

Anyway from the sound of it picotto grabbed your balls and squeezed the entire show. I cant wait till next week when i can see him again in montreal.. last time i saw him at swirl it was pure mayhem.

Kick ASS Night

tatgirl - I loved that plate that you brought with you, I don't know if you remember me I met you in front of the stage area...

Yeah that night was amazing, to me it wasn't that corwed in the middle you could dance, in the very front it was PACKED!!!:D

Question: Does anyone know what that song was that Picotto played like 2-3 hours into his set, if was a funky background melody and a male voice going "FREE" all the time???

Canany one identify this???

That was definitely an amazing night at systems. Went there with a bunch of my friends and did not have to wait in line at all thx to good connects my girl hooked up. Inside was packed, but not to the point that it was intolerable, after 3 there was plenty of dancing space were i was at the far back right side. Only TA's that i met inside were Time2burn, Stereoprincess and Gamma, Swamper (too bad i saw you at out moment of sketchyness lol), and Tatgirl (great seeing you again and thx alot for that picture!!). The crowd inside is pretty much what i expect it to be like... of course the gino's would be there, since Picotto is more well known now plus Picotto is from Italy, so all of that was expected It didn't bother me because i just treat it like when i go to the Guv, and just associate with the people i can relate to.
Now as far as Picotto.. he totally kicked ass that night.. it was for sure one of the best sets that i heard from him live... the only thing is that i wish it could've been on a crazier sound system, like the one at the Guv. My highlights from his set was when he played:

Wink - "Freak (Freak Tweek mix)"
Johannes Heil - "Paranoid Dancer (DJ Hell remix)"... my fav techno track right now!
and Mauro Picotto - "Hong Kong"

so it's was defintily an awesome night for beats. but one thing... did they even announce when Picotto was finished???

Awesome night, still not as good as when i saw him 2 years ago @ guv, but system was alright !

KIlLER sound killer vibe, everything was so nice, i remember when he dropped taub it was insane, baguette, crazyness!!!

I was towards the front with my itallian friend dom,it was nice to see you tatgirl, awesome license plate :D, stereo princess, swamper, time2burn, boytrance, taub and the rest of ya!

It was crazy, requesting hong kong, i cant believe he played it from scratch, totally memezmorizing! an awesome experience, pun intended! what a way to end off the set!

im still extatic about the party, the only thing that could have made it better was prendi scappa! but hey its mauro !! pure madness!!!
