anyone go to this...how was it

I went. It was pretty slow. James was meh. Kind of all over the place and lacked any progression or grooves. Chris was pretty decent, a little heavy for my taste though.

Was there - arrived around 1:30AM upon finding out Liebing started at 3AM (bit too late for my tastes but been meaning to catch him again). Zabiela was garbage IMO - as mentioned his set was all over the place. Spent most of my time in the renovated upstairs rooms that are actually really cool. Liebing was great, though only stayed a little over an hour in.

haha seriously, the NYTA board is so funny, crazy about their techno ... every drumcode, clr, interface party someone "demolishes" it

I really liked how varied Zabiela's set was. I thought he had a great flow going and mixed seamlessly between different genres. He definitely played some bangers and knew when to give the audience a breather, very dynamic set. Took me on a journey which is the sign of a master of the DJ craft. I loved it but then again I'm a huge fan of JZ so maybe I'm biased lol.

I really loved the first half of James' set, many good quality tracks and nice flow. He was so energetic up on the decks! Then once the dub step tracks started, it kinda went downhill for me.

Chris Liebing went really hard, as expected, stayed for about an hour or so of his set. I preferred James' set, but many people seemed to think the opposite. I'm glad, actually, that we don't all like exactly the same kind of music. Variety is the spice of life! ;)

I thought james' set was really good, possibly the best I've ever seen of him. It was fun energy the entire time he was playing. Very great night and happy crowd. I really needed a night of good music, dancing, and fun vibes. Thank you james, for being you & rocking!

Chris liebing on the other hand was too dry, and had no soul. I felt as though I was in a dark satanic church, and all the happy people that were there for James' set suddenly vanished as the satanic ritual from chris' set started. I left about 25 minutes into his set, so who knows, maybe his music got better after that. But to each their own. I guess some people like satanic music. :p

dang, what did satan ever do to you?
