Apparently not even once and probably the closest it can get is through radio after midnight only on saturdays. The one and only radio frequency 91.3fm, mixed by a guy who clearly isn't local and has a hispanic ascent. From funky house music to trance into wee hours. Everytime i would record his session in cassette tapes while i go to bed. From 1996-2001 (RIP 91.3fm)

Gabber, Eurodance and Happy Hardcore were all ing stupid and if you ask people now, 15 years later they'll probably say well I took a lot of drugs and had a fun time even if the music sucked balls. Same thing applies here.

None of those were stupid :whip:

But they were fun, even without drugs.

I still cant believe how hardstyle got this mainstream. In b4 Gabber and the resurrection of DA JOKER.

In my opinion, Afrojack's "musician" is an exercise in postmodern futility meant to draw out the depression and angst in a young generation committed to expressing themselves through a sea of emptiness.

Creepily enough, when I opened Beatport earlier in a new tab it opened directly onto the release page for this track. CONSPIRACY!?

Just admit you have browsed such tracks before. I want a confession right now!

My brain actually went numb, wow.

"you can't say that isn't trance, who are you to decide what is trance and what isn't?" VAN BUUREN, Armin (2014)

btw could anyone post any decent track to save the topic? PLEASEE

What's with all these boring tracks that sound exactly the same?? Big room, more like empty room amirite?
Nobody wants to dance to this boring crap!

At least stupid dance music like Aqua is still simple fun...it was kind of like the lovable guy with cerebral palsy in your family that was always positive and loved to make people smile. This modern big room crap isn't fun or enjoyable by any means. It's simple and has no heart.

I'm speculating that Armin said this because unlike Tiesto, he's not man enough to just say "I don't like trance anymore, and I don't make it!" so he tries to manipulate the kiddie ravers he does have on his side into believing that trance is some kind of unique genre free of rules or structures. Of course, we all know this is bull, because genres are what they are based on specifically defined guidelines.
That's kind of the point of genres, they're used to identify a certain style. Of course, this doesn't apply to Armin because he's a self righteous hack that's done nothing in the past decade than alienate the entirety of the electronic music scene while pulling a Disney, buying off every label and producer that could pose a threat to his unholy Armada and tossing them in the gutter so that he will have no competition.
