I was actually scanning their catalogue today and there wasn't a single track I would buy. My girlfriend has absolutely hammered the Ame and Dixon Boileroom set though, so I'm obliged to check them out live.

It used to be a lot more exciting a few years ago. Now you kinda know what you can expect when a new release rolls around.

I'll have to check it

I know what you mean about innervisions overall. There's something almost formulaic about them. Actually maybe that's not the word. Its like somewhat noodly and a little soft. I dunno just not my thing

I don't know, I mean Innervisions kinda has been in that mellow melodic deep house niche since the beginning. I thought the recent Ten Walls and Agoria releases were pretty good. Sure, hyped to hell but still well crafted melodic tracks that are a notch above the average. There's a lot of much more bland stuff making the rounds in clubland.

Yea Scala is fun a few times. I can't get into the Ten Walls although I completely love the Requiem EP on Life & Death.

Really? I think Gotham is incredibly banal. The "hook" is the kind of thing I bash out on the piano roll in FL and then stop because I'm overwhelmed with self-loathing. It's one of those melodies that takes a wrong turn on the octave when it's supposed to have a catchy finish. Throw in one standard issue bleepy counterpoint thing and add a beat completely devoid of funk or groove and call it a night. It sounds made in ten minutes. Nothing interesting about the production, the sound design or the structure. What exactly makes it "well crafted"?

Scala is much better, but Agoria is Agoria and has done this kind of thing on loads of labels.

Love this... great sense of space in the song.

New David August track coming out on IV is gorgeous.

Nice track but I feel like that's something a label like Sudbeat would release lol
