So, I noticed Oakenfold is on Saturday as well. Will this affect J00f in any negative way, club attendance-wise? I mean, I like as much space as possible, but I also want him (J00F) to attract enough patrons to make certain his set is a success (ergo get him back to NYC, ASAP). Don't want to judge on Oakenfold, just commenting that Oakenfold may still have enough of a reputation that it may draw people away from Sankeys/Flemming?

So i decided, based on what you guys have been saying, to get a ticket to this. Haven't seen John before but from what you guys are saying this is a must. Missed him last year when he played (at 40 East?). Listened to his essential mix yesterday. He has that dark, deep, you are gonna get gang raped in a corner kind of sound. and I am trying to get my friends to come out for this. If not, i will fly solo.

One friend said "8 hours? I can barely make it 4". I told him that 8 hours is what trance events used to be like. He goes "times have really changed". Um, yeah.

I am gonna try and get there early so i can see the whole thing. Haven"t danced for 8 hours straight since Mental Asylum night. Does he do an effective job of building up the set during the course of a night? Looking forward to this one.

Sedna

Hey everyone, new here, long time first time

I was there, still havent slept yet filled with so much energy. First off, Sedna and Viper, pleasure to meet you guys, gotta meet up at some more parties in the near future ( for anyone else who was there I was the guy in the green shirt/green jacket ).

This was my 4th time seeing J00F in the past 2 years ( at Rise in Boston, at that small makeshift club near lavo with the white walls, Santos Party House with Christopher Lawrence and today at Sankeys ) and my god he never disappoints. Set was just nonstop energy, relentless balls to the wall trance. Sound system wasnt great, but did the job just fine. Liked Sankeys as a venue ( except for the bathroom attendants, one tried to tell me that I couldnt refill my water because they have a bar, informed him that is against the law, fought with me, eventually tipped him a dollar and he shut up ). Bathroom attendants are beyond useless.

Side note: 2 remix's of "Dreams", Legendary!

Wow just unfriggin believable how good j00f was! First time seeing him live and holy he was amazing. It was great seeing some familiar faces and some new ones too. I can't wait till he comes back I'm deff going to the next one!

ditto all the above.
that just flew by.

three bathroom refills and a quick fresh air break, non stop otherwise.

why anyone would leave cause it was boring, dunno
you know who you are. ;) (and yes, DT was surely great, no doubt...)

bathrooms:
like I said, three refills, no hassles, and I dont use their water bottle, bring my own container, still no complaints.
at least they have cold water, some clubs only give hot, so you cant fetch water I bet.

easy not to have these snafus:
hold the dollar before you go in, and put it jar before you use the facilities and make sure it gets noticed.
same attendant hassling you nvr did me assuming you used upstairs left of booth one.
tip each time.
we may do just as well without attendants, but its a thankless job, low pay too, so no big deal

Sedna
I tipped the attendant every time and he was super nice to me the whole night, gave me whatever I want, didn't ask me any questions or hassle me. That dude was cool. Just gotta give him a dollar each time you go in, which at an NYC club really isn't breaking the bank....

Cars had a lot of fun with you, great meeting up with you there. John made that night truly special. He was connected with the crowd in a way that I rarely see DJs; even the best of them. It was like he knew every song that the crowd as a whole needed to press forward. Before I knew it it was 6:00 and the lights were coming on.

Also, I'm pretty sure they told him to stop at 5 a.m. and he just said "no" to the owner. Dude has balls. Dude loves his fans. The prototype for any amazing DJ.
