Can't believe there's no event thread for Armin Only LA, unless it's hidden somewhere here (database search was down). Anyhow, who's going? Any tips on avoiding traffic going to the Forum? I don't think I've ever been there before, but surely there's some obscure freeway exit and some side streets that will save an hour or so?

Armin Only here we come! :D

We plan on getting there around 6pm. Traffic is going to suck at that time on a Friday.

And what's the deal with assigned seating? Will that be enforced?

I think so. But we will see how YOLO's that will try to crash the floor.

I'm being forced to go Saturday down here in San Diego.

We will see how that goes...

Pretty much the same as the Palladium gig. Armin's music is a little meh for me these days. The production was amazing and it was a pretty good crowd. The live performances were all really good and well integrated. Usually I'm not big on live singers at EDM events but these all worked really well.

The new Forum is pretty nice except the drinks suck. They measure all drinks. I wanted a Long Island and she said it would be about $40 as you pay for each shot. $12 vodka sprite and could taste any alcohol or feel it. So beer it was.

And for the first 1.5 hours (6:00 to 7:30), the they placed adult contemporary music wtf.

Those were almost all Armin songs. Guessing they were from this album.

to be honest i kind of forgot about this gig, but around thu i started hearing about it on twitter and soon became jealous that i wasn't going as my memories of AO 2008/2009 TAO were still fresh.either way I fell asleep fri night and sat morning went scouring on instagram for videos and came to the conclusion that a. he played zero trance b. i didnt miss out c. production was nice d. armin needs to change his show to a state of trouse/edm/whatever..anything but trance.

so ya, it is what it is, i guess the fact that this show didn't even get a thread on this forum when a few years ago a regular gig at club red in OC would get pages and pages of responses...really shows how garbage edm has become, or how disinteresting armin has become.

:mad::conf::confused:

really?? tho i feel w long island or adios, you get more bang for your buck, you figure at events like this they would have a weaker version instead of charging for the drink a la carte. :whip:

This was before the gig even started mind you. The tracks were all remixes of Armin tracks - I saw a sign on Saturday in San Diego talking about Eller's Acoustic cover album. I have a feeling that is what was playing.

Yes - I went to LA and SD; LA in the stands and SD in the GA floor. SD had a much more lively crowd - everyone in the stands was into it, which was not the case in LA. More people sure, but the energy and positivity really shined in San Diego to me.

The sets were different as well. Armin threw down a bit harder overall in San Diego than LA. I can't say why - but all three of us that went to each show said San Diego was much better.

Production was crazy good - which I anticipated at this point from Armin's team. As was mentioned, the live elements worked really well into the show.

Overall, I enjoyed it for the show and for the music. Certainly, there were overlaps, but it was an awesome experience both nights.
