Totally true. From a biological or anthropological point of view, there is no such thing as RACE in homo sapien sapiens. The difference in genetic makeup of a black african and a white european is 15%, ie very small. If you lined up the world's population you would get a spectrum of colours, NOT four groups of homo sapien africanus, homo sapien asianeus, etc. It is impossible to draw the line and give each group specific characteristics.
Thats why nowadays the media and other publications are moving away from using the word race, and replacing it with ethnic group.
Sadly, there is a controversial psychology professor here in canada, at Western University, who thinks there are "Races" and that it is correlated to intelligence, aggression, penis size, etc... |

| shouldnt we be judging people by how they act instead of what color their skin is? Good old white america teaching people what we should think, wear, eat, drink, and on and on. Its pretty funny that 85 % of rap record sales are to white teenagers yet so much prejudice exists against minorities. Half of the people i see around campus are the same type of guy from office space - the ones that turn down the rap and roll up the windows and lock the doors when they see a real black person. Anyways I personally can't stand any of you people that are racist because you are all weak minded fools that can't see past the tip of your own nose. Quit hiding behind your computer screen and go get an education maybe you'll see there are actually personalities to these people under their skin |

I've lived in California for two years and Illinois for all my life. I can see why ou would hate asians if you lived in california. Or why you would hate Mexicans if you lived in Illinois.

edit: in ca there are plenty of asians who cant speak english and in IL there are plenty of mexicans who cant speak english |

I'm not racist against any particular "race", but i do hate certain groups of people.
i like black people, just not the thuggish ones. same with latinos and asians. indians, pakistanis, and other such people (sometimes dubbed as "brown" people, I have no problem with them. however, they can also be thugs, and since most of my community is "brown" people I can oftensmell what they cook. some people like it, but it does not appeal to me at all. I don't care who you are or what your nationality is, I don't like the smell of curry.
I just feel bad for people like my friend though, He's chinese/jamaican/english. people call him things like jafaican and white n*gger. poor guy |

there seems to be not alot of appearent racism in my school, at least.
with about half the population asian, and the other half everone else.. and only about 3 black people in the whole school.
Most racism that I hear isnt really racist, but its more like people joking about your heritage.
For example, I have a german background, so everyone always makes the typical german jokes.. about wwII and stuff. and you know, i just laugh it off because I know they're not serious.
Then all the brown people get racist jokes thrown at them, but they dont care either.
But then I know some people who are seriously racist, and I dont know how they can be that way.. It makes me embaraced just being around them when they say some comments.. especially when they say them loud. and people can hear.
I dunno.. you cant stereotype people because of their ethnicity. |
