This is by far my favorite style of trance, and its probably the most played at raves etc here in australia, but any time I hear a trance mix, or go through trance streams etc theres very VERY rarely any tracks that sound remotely like this. Is it just us Aussies that like this sound, because i cant help but notice that most of the artists are australian. Basically feels like trance but with much more complex basslines.

If you know any other tracks that are of this kind of style and arent australian please give reccomendations; would love to hear tracks from other countries of this style.

because its , I mean it doesn't surprise me its big here in Australia, Australians tend to have the worst taste in music,
:see hardstyle played in every club. |

| Woah ease up, musics subjective anyway; and its definitely got a lot more variety than standard trance? I havent heard a single hardstyle set at a rave |

A doof is an outdoor rave (usually in the desert?) generally where psy-trance is played. And I've never been to Australia.
What you're after is not quite psy-trance, but that bouncy, electro-ish and very commercial version of it. I'm not sure what the consensus is on what to call it. I've heard people mention the "Hamburg sound". Others just call it prog-psy but I think that's an insult to the likes of Vibrasphere and Human Blue. You should probably listen to Neelix, as he seems to be the one who popularised this sound. |

Aussie doofs are in the bush :) Desert parties sound awesome but i imagine thats more an israel thing
If it was commercial wouldnt there at least be a name for the sound? haha.. And I have yet to find a mainstream artist with this style besides maybe Berg.. I dont think Neelix sounds much like it at all tbh |
