Deadmau5 Disses A State Of Trance, Armin Van Buuren Fires Back (pg. 3)

To agree with everyone here, new trance doesn't stir any emotion.

What brought me to trance was the deep, euphoric connection you get listening to a track or set after hearing it for the 2nd...3rd...4th time and loving it more and more each time.

"New" trance is too easily digestible, appealing to the instant gratification of internet attention spans... and I've fell victim to it as well by not giving any new tune a chance if it doesn't wow me quick enough. I think while the music is getting worse, we are also getting older and less patient to appreciate the connection that needs time to build between you and a good trance track.

So it's a two way street, and I believe this is why everyone can remember good music when they were younger but then all the current music sounds ty -- we can't commit the time to appreciate the music. That, and not much deep euphoric music is being created anymore because it's not easy to swallow. Because I can't kid myself, most of the new stuff out there is cheesy and cheap.

This is trance at its best. Nothing nowadays will compare
