| man, I was under the impression that you are supposed to mix the music, not dance around it. Oakenfold has no class as a DJ, I will take that to the grave. That is my opinion, and maybe others. Don't bash me for sharing my opinion, it's mine. For the first time in a thread I did not compare DJs and such to prove a point. I don't feel it is necessary to include those whom i hold in such high regard to Oakenfold. Sure, he has a big ass following and could very well play some decent tracks live, but in the grand scheme of things, he has no juice. |

it really sucks when djs bash djs. it's so hypocritical, it makes me sick. how can bt think he's better than oakey in any way, being a dj or just a person? i'm not bashing bt, he's awesome, i'm just saying that if you don't like a person, at least show some respect.
could it be that oakey didn't like all his experimental stuff? maybe he thought "hmm, this is all good, but the things i've been doing before are much better + they bring more publicity/money" :p |

| Oakie hasnt rocked since 99 Gatecrasher Locherton Hall, perhaps Oakies best set in my opinion. Not that hes a bad DJ now its just i don't like his style but that is my opinion and everyone else has their's |

Yeah, his sets from 99 were all top notch, best of all time IMHO. However, while I haven't seen him live in a while, his recent radio sets have had great tracklists. I know they're not the same as they were in '99, but their aren't a lot of people playing music from '99 any more. |

He's the pioneer to the 'Ibiza Scene' in the UK (along with some other DJ's such as Johnny Walker etc)
