Here you go tehlord, lay it all in this thread instead of****ting up every thread (pg. 2)

Needs a walk-off, IMO.
tehlord
There's no need for a walk off and no drama from my perspective.

This is a community like any other forum and when I see somebody acting like a snide little prick constantly offering nothing but derogatory comments, piss taking and general negativity whilst offering zero constructive input at all I will call them on it.

If you can't handle a bit coming back to you, then off.

I don't like the fact many posters, often newbs are told to go do a search. It's not as if this place is congested with posts is it!

We need more posts, more threads, not the slow drip we get these days.

Imagine you wanted to know about something new, perhaps something you've fancied doing but not got round to yet.
Sure you can do random Google searches and read books, but why not come to a place where experts have the answers in their heads ready to share.

Plus a seemingly simple question can lead to an engaging thread when it goes off at tangents.

MSZ - you once out of the blue had a real go at me and to this day I do not know why. You gotta calm that anger and bitterness for you own sake and the sake of any children you may one day have.
I can relate to being angry and bitter, but I reserve it for political discussion forums, life and death matters.

EDIT - I'm real thankful to the posters like Tehlord that bother to keep this place a living ecosystem.

For example I've been strongly in support of the thousands of infants in Gaza being maimed by 'hero' hi tech Israeli soldiers with billions of dollars worth of metal.

That's worth getting angry about, not some dumb arsed insignificant discussion about side chaining or whatever. Kids right now born into this world are living a hell, lets get angry for them.

Totally zero constructive input, all the tracks i've tried to critique for the better over the half dozen of years, posting deals to save money(which upon getting on), sharing some unique free plugs, trying to help a little with mastering of which I can remember in somewhat recent times but, not to sound self-entitled but whatever. Its probably time to stop posting here since I barely produce at all these days anyway and growing ever-so bitter from "edm".

You have a lot to offer and some good skills to share, but if your dog is nice most of the time but sometimes bites your baby real hard it's a bit of a pisser. We all get angry and irritated but try and keep it to rare occasions and in proportion. Part of being a proper man is being able to control your emotions. Don't let anonymous online people ever get to you too much, who cares!

Like the guy in my town that wants to fight everyone for looking at his girl is actually broadcasting how insecure he is, whereas the confident guy is pleased men admire his woman, able to rise above his initial instincts.

You posted up some liquid dnb I thought was awesome btw. (was that you?)

This just floored me.

You're probably the most talented producer I know that hasn't made it yet (and note, it's a "yet"). To hear you're not producing these days is really sad to me, and I hope you figure out a way to get back in to it.

I know life gets in the way - I barely get time, but then again I've only got a shred of the musical talent you do.

At the same time, I have to say I find your posts do actually make me truly laugh out loud sometimes. The one about Juan flaming himself actually made me hoot.

I'll agree that the rest of TA (c0r, MD, etc) are infected with plague of timewasters and idiots, to the point that they're basically worthless, and I also agree that the prod forum, has and should never devolve in to that useless void, but a little bit of fun is needed every so often to lighten the repair manual-esque conversation here from time to time.

I have to at least partially disagree with Richard on the stance regarding noobs; the rule has always been - if the question has been asked and answered 1000 times before, then expect a good roasting. I don't believe it contributes anything productive to this forum by explaining for the millionth time that there's no difference between the various DAW platforms or to try to explain again that DJ Ferry Van Burren-Vath didn't use one VST to make "Horns, Sirens & Alarms, vol 12".

and this is what separates TA from other boring-ass forums like Gearslutz... it's so clinical and depressing over there every once in a while it's nice to see Looney chime in and compare someones mix to attending an over-crowed anal party or whatever

There is a vast gaping chasm between L4C (miss you bro) and MSZ.
