Leave the 7506s out of this Paulino :whip: they are damn good if not the best headphones in the $100 price range if you are ok trading some low end for strong mids and crisp highs.
There is a reason people still use them after two decades and it has absolutely nothing to do with hype. |

Wow, this thread got juicy and I love how many oldschool prod forum TA's have posted in it. We just need Freak, EricJ, Eddie Zilker, Zild, Alanzo and JiveBo to post and all will be well with the world (well, maybe not all but it will probably stop Israelis from killing Palestinian kids).

Trudat. It's a careful balance, but the nice thing is this place self regulates. Really advanced technical information has to have some humor. It's the same in studios - the humor is what eases the pressure and keeps you sane.
I think stu does a decent job for being the worst mod ever :p |

my experience is here is it's good, people don;t go around policing the forums and being anal (for the most part). now there are exceptions maybe once or twice someone on here has tried to start some usueless spat with me. But on some other forums , there are way too many mods who have nothing better to do than piss on people who are just trying to give honest advice to people. And guess what, those sites have zero-to no traffic because of these mods. I get that they dont want tons of spammers on the sites so they try to be stern with members...but sersiously, some people just have nothing better to do than start meaningless online arguments with good-minded people. And have superoirty complexes, Like some people got like an attitude, but there not an azzhole. They wants to help, and give good advice..they just are rough around the edges.. Whenever someone just is negative to me online, or purposesfu;l;y tries to start an argument i just dont respond. It's takes alot of dsicipline though, and when you spend aloty of time on your pc making music, on forums trying to networkd etc. but whatever. The interenet is loaded with trolls, you'll always get suckered by some troll at some point no matter how much you try and avoid it lol. Just try to be the better man....at least try,,,hahahaha. Seriously, on this forum it's been pretty slow, like not alot of discussion about musical related stuff lately. So someone sees this and tries to start something, bascially out of boredom etc. Or someone makes a troll account and asks for advice as a newbie, we all know it's a troll account. But then sometimes it actually is a real person, so i try and give them the benefit of the doubt. It's good to have a laugh but to maliciously troll people or on the other side of it, to go around and police forums , theyre equally as egregious in my books. Over-anal mods/policeman and evil trolls are the same in my books.
But.
Whenever troll activity goes up....the forum activity goes up . But whenever policing activitiy goes up, forum activity goes down. So in that sense trolls are slightly better. Just slightly though lol. |
