| Despite a very nice build up,I'm not feeling this.Since I'm no fan of stab-style leads a la Rank 1,and the production simply is too weak both melodically and rhythmically,this one gets the thumbs down from me.Sorry.I loved Theme From The Rock,Dreamer and the remix of The Answer,but this doesn't cut it.You can do better than this IMHO,Jezper. |

sounds a ok to me! but where did those 'vacuüm builds' go? i liked them... buildup is pretty, i like the way the synths build in. i was a bit disappointed with the main lead... why just copy what Rank 1 does?? i think you can do a better job on this my friend, i just know it ;)
overall a good track though, with nice buildup and break. but that main lead... i don't know sorry...

Hmm.
Great composition. I like the synths. But yeah, that stabbing effect ala Rank 1 has got to go, or be used a little less...
It's STILL missing the overall Gouryella effect, but I can't blame you, cuz you ain't Gouryella.

Well, someone said the stabs I use for the lead, its not very gouryella, and thats the exact point. I dont want to make what ferry allready did, nor what rank 1 did with this track, nor what H&H did with this track. I made this remix to have when spinning at Docklands the other day. I wanted to make the hook in a way that made it work well on the floor. I know these superstrings easily does it on the floor, kjust like the rank 1 remix of superstring once made when it was released, same with awakening.
I have probably made better tracks, but this is the absolutely best I could get out of the track itself. Let me also tell, that Ligaya is an extremely hard track to remix. I cant explain why really, you have to try it yourself.
I actually believes that this is why the dumonde-remix and the rank 1-remix never saw the light, as the track was to hard for them to remix within the deadline. I didnt manage to do it either!

very nice remix. i love your kick for some reason, haha.... i like the buildup, how the synths get muffled and then louder (kinda like the ones in, cygnus x -superstring).
did you get permission to remix this and play it in public? won't you get in a lot of trouble if rank 1's label finds out? |

| I think he means that the stabs you used sound too similar to Rank 1 -Awakening,so if you release it,Rank 1 might get pissed or something.Not that I think that using their style would bother them much. |

Rank 1 has the rights on the notes they create, but not on there style! Everbody can make a "Rank 1" sounding song, as long as they don't break any copyrights on the notes! And when Rank 1 is "to stupid" to use there "hit sound" for there Ligaya remix, they can't complain if somebody else use the style! And as Jezper said, think it's hard to remix Ligaya, do you wanna make it near the original (see Hiver & Hammer)it' to close to the original, do you wanna make something new, nobody sees anymore it's a Ligaya remix, think the style Jezper choosed is best, you still have the original sound in it, but making something new out of it (and that is I think what a remix should be!) |

i like the beginning and the end more than the original
but ferry's main melody (especially the climax) still the best

| Love this remix. Better than the Original and H&H/Rank 1, I think. Love the style you've got going... the bass and stuff. Excellent. |
