Anyways OP, I'm 22 years old, hardcore tranceaddict, even the real old, primitive stuff...so there's always going to be people like me that get into it in modern times. There will be people who want an alternative to the soulless EDM turds vomited out at lightning speed out of the s of talentless hack wannabe DJ superstars from Holland.
I make trance with an old school feel and spin it as well...some local DJs play classics once in a while also, and when they do, they announce it like a special event because they know it's gonna be big and people will turn up. There's still a warm spot in the hearts of electronic music faithfuls for good old fashioned feel good trance, and there always will be. Just keep sharing tunes with people and blowing their in' minds with them. |

Music goes his own way, it is necessary to look towards new talent and you will surely find something good for yourself.
Trance scene will just move on, as usual commercial trance will produce a pacifier or a sweet sound. with the advent of the availability of writing music for everyone, will open fresh layers of music. Now the music sounds much brighter, but it lacks the Rave and Deep energy.
Grassroots and popularity create strong and rich. Strong team of people and music distributors, right there on the tastes of the masses play reputable journals.
Only one way out for the recovery of trance music - is a strong team, good support, including financial, to create their own press, which will destroy the old press, unique content and artists, ready to go on the globe.
That's my vision. |

Torsten Fenslau and his later Culture Beat.
He wrote real trance under names LDC, Tyrell Corp., Abfahrt and many more. He's real Strong talented producer of that time, change the whole electronic music scene, but crashed a car in 1993.

Like e.g. Jam&Spoon and The Mackenzie which also went into Eurodance which eventually made it possible for trance to get mainstream.
Yeah, trance producers starting using vocals long before trance was big. Maybe young trance fans should have a listen to this, 20 years old now:

dam i like it...i like the track at th 50:00 area alot, very chilled out ......one main difference, for lots of the songs on this is the arps they using 1/32nd 1/48 notes............dont see that today rarely...except for maybe....puuuuhhh-syyy trance
and also, it's really similar to breakbeat and drumnbass of that time too. basically it's like this time where theres alot of overlap in styles...kindof like today really |

Styles usually come around again in due time. Not in precisely the same form, but refashioned with an aesthetic resembling something that came before.
My hunch is that a trancelike sound will eventually emerge. But who knows when and how. Certainly a prerequisite would be taste for higher BPM, which I just don't see at all right now.

For a time this past year I thought would see some emergence with trance sadly it's few and far between.... Most djs would never dare drop a trance set. Example was talking with a fellow dj and his exact words were I don't think the crowd would be ready for a true 2 hour trance set... Sadly I agree
For every trance track worth the money there are hundreds that don't come close... My best guess would be need some of the big names to start going back to their bread and butter... My 2 cents |
