4 hours? Sort of disappointing tbh.
The trick or treaters deserve a marathon to make up for the venue fiasco.
Glad I didn't buy a $70 ticket.
How long did he play at his 50th? |

and then there were two after parties! lol |

yeah but Audiofly are dope in their own right! I think they'd kill it on the terrace, they have the perfect sound for that party especially at 7 am on the terrace. |

| Showed up at 5:15 to catch Sven who was in full-on festival techno form. I had just come from the Lazarus B2B w Three at Trade which was a complete mind bender so it was gonna take a lot for Sven to impress me. He did with his track selection but he really doesn't do anything special DJ wise. Minimal EQ'ing, no effects outside of a rare reverb and loop roll and all he really does is mix intros and outros. Kinda boring mix-wise but like I said he does drop bombs. Was glad to catch him and the terrace was packed, just enjoy the technical DJs much much more. |

not the only person who says he wasnt that impressed although for different reasons.
personally i dont want to pay attention to a million and one skills. dont get me wrong, i appreciate it when i notice it but dont drop monotone tracks that are boring as just to show off your skills. instead drops bombs. make it sound good and flow. make me dance. thats all a dj really needs to do.
appreciate the review. |

| Really wanted to attend but had other obligations. I could care less about effects and loops though. he's been around a long time and knows how to select bomb tracks. |

| Guess my point was anybody can pick Bomb peak time tracks and mix intros and outros. Guess I just expected more "dj skills" from a guy known as a legend in the industry. Frankly, Damian Lazarus and Three are each miles ahead of Sven today |

You lost me when you said Three is good. One of the worst DJs I've heard, ever, in terms of track selection. |

Last time I saw Sven at cocoon heroes at wmc he was playing a bit slower and more housey that I have heard from him. He was in glasses on professional mode. I heard there are a few versions of Sven that u will get. |

Coincidentally enough I'm almost certain that one or even both those times you saw Three are the same times that I've seen him.
Classic case of "different strokes" I guess. You loved what you heard, I was bored as hell. |
