been thinking a while about getting this.

the mikro seems to rely on the computer a bit more, which could be annoying/interruptive. the studio seems like overkill.

any users on here?

i was wondering how automated the mapping was in patricular... does it automatically map a row or column of 4 notes from a synth you add? does it map the synth over the entire 16 pads? or do you need to manually choose what notes you want mapped to what pad?

how does this aspect of it work?

I found maschine is a great tool with alot of presets to use and a great library. But really, anything you can do on maschine you can do on any midi controller

I did, not now but I will be - helps me with quick drums setup (a specially in the initial stage of development).

I checked my mailbox today for it, I guess it'll be here tomorrow.

what maschine?

been trying to find good examples of music produced on maschine.

here is what i found. seems really decent. one amateur, one from professional finger drummer jeremy ellis - in full pimp mode :D

check these both out and tell me what you think... the jeremy ellis one @ 30secs. pure bliss :eyespop:

One obvious thing i like about maschine that its a daw dedicated for electronic music.

awesome. just got £50 off a maschine studio. you don't ask, you don't get.

that's still £750 mind you... perhaps i should have played them off against each other a bit more :stongue:

When you load a VST/AU, it automatically maps the pads to notes (in Maschine's Pad mode), you can transpose up/down, and view them as a PRV. The pad note mappings are even displayed in one of the displays. You keyboard controller can also be used as a input via MIDI-over-USB, or via the MIDI input. Also, the conrols of the soft synth are mapped to the macro knobs on the Maschine hardware and you can scroll through pages of parameters.

Thats sweet, i guess i can put my bass station 2 some where else and use Mikro as my pad midi. I usually do all my melodies on the key editor anyway. Hmm I also think i can get use to it and maybe its prob more flexible than a keyboard(set of keys).
