Can this be legit? Or is it "evil" to like Trance music as a Christian?
Mr.Mystery
It's just music.

Just do it anyway and ask for forgiveness. Isn't that the entire shtick?

What would Jesus do?
Trance-M
Jesus would love it for sure.

The problem is no lyrics. You can feel like your worshipping jesus with certain trance songs but then someone else who hears the same track might be worshipping Buddha, or even satan for that matter. This issue needs to really be resolved. :sadgreen:

It's true. Secular music is basically a gateway to different sexual positions.

Strangely enough, I know quite a few Christians that love trance...

Some guy on a game forum I go to, was posting a ton of links to Group Therapy, ASOT, GDJB, all the big name trance shows in the catch-all electronic music thread on the site, and then nearly every one of his other posts is about Jesus and defending Christianity from the largely-athiest/agnostic base of the board.

And then I remember in college some dude would come to our video game club meetups because I'd DJ and play a ton of trance and progressive since this was ~2001. He had no interest in gaming whatsoever but wouldn't shut up about trance, then a bit later he tried to recruit me into becoming a bornagain :P

I think Trance should be fine. But when you venture into something like hard acid techno or dark ambient territory, I dunno. It can get pretty evil there. :nervous:

The run-out of this vinyl says it all:

B - We are pagans: we workship big walls of sound, we believe in decadence and heodonism - staying up Friday through Sunday, doing drugs and listening to really heavy music!

Why would God hate trance if two of its arguably biggest DJs mimic his son's pose. I'd say that's quite the form of flattery.
