That was fun. Solid 7 out of 10 for me. Probably would have been higher if I wasn't so pissed off all night cuz of Toronto FC.
Decent crowd, didn't see much doucheness. Packed but not overly packed. Spent lots of time in Deluxe Lounge helped. Friends, solid Digweed set, I was happy for most part. (Though sound was pretty horrid. Glad I brought some ER15s)
I might go to the Gift or the final closing party, but emotionally, I said my farewell to the Guv. Special place in my memories. Defined a lot of good times during my 20s.
There are a lot of clubs in Toronto, and there will be even better ones in the future, but there is only one Guv, and no other club will be as special as. (though I won't miss the stale, weed and smoke laced air) |

yeah. I left after 5 when he started to play techno again thinking he was done soon, but Diggers was going strong and the club was still pretty packed when I left. |

i left right before 6. spot on. not overpacked, quick entrance, right amount of people. douchebags to a minimum, WTF ?! one thing i like about guv is clubs like coda and ryze kind of get empty towards the end but guv still has loads of people in there.
and your rating of 7/10 is accurate. i wanted to stick it out- my friend wanted to leave and at the same time this throwback mayhem wasn't happening yet. I'm going to kill him. i usually stick it out myself but didn't want to take a 35$ cab ride. going to filter out posts about the last hour |

i left around 4:30. wasn't overly packed and as said before not many douchebags.
i liked john's set for the most part. a couple really heavy duty bombs at the start. the long progressive type tracks really destroyed the place.
only ran into Rachel who ID'd me by my shirt! nice meeting you and dave!!! |

If that night is the last night I ever go to Guv, I am going to be an extremely happy person. I loved everything from beginning to end. My head almost exploded with the tunes. The crowd was amazing. MY friends are the best.
The sound in the middle was perfect. I didn't even need earplugs like I always do.
The lightning was good too. Nice and dark at the right moments.
Stayed until final note. |
