^ Yea, that's pretty much a spot-on summary of what I hope and expect from my Movement experience.

skip nature one. i went this year and its a huge pain in the ass. cool festival but logistically a pain in the ass. its in the middle of nowhere so youre basically forced to do camping. and the camping grounds are . i walked through it this year. nasty as all . generators running all night. people having their own parties with terrible hard style music. we stayed in a dope hotel this year but it was like 45 mins away so you had to drive. and for the love of god never risk driving if you arent sober in germany. we were actually stopped on the way to nature one and asked all sorts of questions. "do you have drugs or weapons in the car?" :stongue: they even told us to remove our sunglasses so they could look at our eyes. oh and theyve got dogs just hanging out at the entrances for when you get there and when you leave. was considering going last year but then i saw a report on tv about the police presence there. the report stated that the cops have about 300 piss test kits that test for multiple substances and they just randomly pull people out and you have to piss on it. doesnt matter if youre sober or acting a fool. if anything comes up positive, even if you blazed in amsterdam 3 weeks ago, youre essentially ed. now 300 tests for 65k people or whatever the number is is still pretty good odds but im not gonna with it. also the festival is 16+ i believe and this year they allowed like 10k more people in than previous years. was extremely crowded. main stage was mostly edm garbage. then you have the hard style tents. only really good tent is cox/sven/liebing/etc.

i will say though, nature one had the best damn firework display ive ever seen. blew tomorrowland and every fourth of july or new years firework show ive ever seen out of the water.

instead do time warp or love family park or melt in germany. way better festivals and a much older more intelligent crowd.

awakenings on the other hand i can only recommend. went the past two years and never for a single second either time did i hear one bad piece of music. every single tent/stage you walk by has amazing going on. plus the dutch are just fantastic. my fav people. the only thing that sucks about awakenings because its at the height of the summer is that it gets dark very late. the festival ends at 11 but its not really dark until 10-10:30. so you only get about 30 mins or so of lasers and the production. seems like such a waste because its all there.

I actually loved Nature One this year, camping and all. We parked next to a solid stage and partied non stop into Sunday morning. The big techno tent where Liebing, Len Faki, and a couple other big guys played was perfect all weekend. Then add in the other stages like Abstract, it made out for a perfect techno party with Germans banging it out all weekend. I do agree about Awakeings though, easily the best music all season for me, hands down. You could go to any stage you wanted there and it was just on point.

People really need to look into Sonus in Croatia, stacked lineup, Ibiza feel, and much cheaper. Definitely in my top parties for this summer. Not quite Ibiza caliber as a whole, but awesome change of pace.

Ehhhh Ibiza is decent. I will definitely disagree with Melly. Sure you can get food to cook at home to save some money but that's about it. Personal experience, out of my entire month trip in Europe, Ibiza I spent more money in one week than anywhere else combined (600 euro). I also had a free place to stay(thanks Enter family :)) and didn't pay for single entry fee to any club. 13 Euro beers and 18-24 Euro drinks add up and quick. The island is cool as though. Croatia and movement next year for me. Gonna pass on the island. The only thing cheap in Ibiza is Hierbas and pills

Never done movement so definitely getting in on it.

So far in the books next year is BPM 7 nights and Movement weekend. I would love to attend ADE in Amsterdam as well. Had a awesome time last year in Detroit for Movement. BPM will be first time going and heard great things about it.

I absolutely hate festivals now. the more i go the more i realize how exhausting they are. 1 day tops is all i can do. I went to 3 points from 9-12 on friday and froma bout 9-11:45 on saturday. So hot, too much peoeple, too much walking, too much waiting for drinks and bathrooms ect. Im more of a club/party guy. have never been to movement and probably will never go. the fact that its in detroit does't help. I would love to attend some of the parties but for that I can just go to miami any weekend and avoid the travel expenses.

What are you 60? :toothless just kidding

But to each their own. I love a well-run festival to me it doesn't get better than that.

Totally understand. I'm generally the same way.

But I'm making an exception in this case because of how little it costs and the time it takes place.

Hopefully I'm not disappointed because my expectations are pretty high as far as the festival is concerned. (People hyping it up.)

small festivals, big festivals, small clubs, mega clubs, each are unique and can be fun in their own way. i personally love em all.

Finally purcahsed tickets to go yesterday for the gf and myself. Always wanted to go to Movement, but never pulled the trigger until this time. Got a hotel, but 8 miles away from the venue. Any suggestions for those that have went before?
