Computer sound system...... what are you rockin'?

OK....... what kind of computer speaker setup do you guys have? What are the good brands to purchase and the one's to look out for? I'm in need of good computer speakers on the cheap, if that's even possible. I'm not talking studio quality speakers meant for producers (but if within budget, might consider).

Just want something that sounds decent with clarity and a rockin' subwoofer so I can thump Alice Deejay's "Do you think you're better off alone" in the bedroom while brushing up on my 'Nordic Trac'. Thanks in advance!

I don't know, I would just like to hear people's opinion on the most "bang for the buck" kinda deal. Just something within reason and not stupidly outrageous.

Logitech Z623 or Harman Kardon SoundSticks III get good reviews.

I don't use pc speakers, but a 24 year old Pioneer midi setup, it just doesn't break....

You'll never look back.

Are you bragging about your old midi setup? Sort of like the age old argument of, "analog vs. digital"? Just kidding......thanks for the suggestion. BTW, I'm an 'analog' kinda guy myself. :toocool:

No, I'm just saying why I don't need pc speakers. Midi just means that all components are connected to the amplifier and can't be used standalone. It doesn't have anything to do with digital vs analog.

That's a pretty ignorant statement to make. Alot of people can piece together a good sounding system on a budget if you want to get into the audiophile world, it's not all about how much you can spend.

If anything I'd rather have a budget build that sounds great and up to par with more expensive equipment then just dishing out the big bucks. :toocool:
