somewhat shocked no one has posted anything about this but it appears Richard Grant is in the works to open a new SF location in NYC. opening party is currently already planned for 1/18/15.

i personally disagree. it had its time for sure but with all the bottle service bs clubs and things out there it would be great to see a rebirth of a "come as you are" club just about the raw beats and shows that took place there.

My guess is that this is gonna be a gay club.

...and what kinda of music is going to be played???

EDM???....something JP can't play...

Tech??....something JP can't play

Diva Vocals.....when was the last time a good one was released

JP's time is up...he has become one of the most irrelevant names right now.

Great DJs evolve with the times...something JP hasn't done

I don't see how it can be anything other than a gay club. They're not getting any bookings unless they bring in one of the existing promoters which aint happening.

No.... just NO!

Clubbing in NYC isn't what it was then. It's a new generation of people, new attitudes, new music. Everything about it is just different. Clubs have turned into concert venues with DJ's playing 2 hour sets rather than having their own resident that people came to see every week. Nowadays you go for the event, not for the club. The vibe is just totally different too, nobody even dances anymore, it's just a bunch of head bobbing. Bringing back an old name isn't going to bring back the old ways lol.

People are assuming they're trying to recreate the past. I highly doubt that's the plan. I'm sure he wants to get back in the business and is banking on the famous name to bring success.
