Who is going to buy them?
considering for another £100 you can get the Native Instruments Traktor Controller S8 which is twin digital decks, a mixer, a controller all in one... |

Good point but also, at $1000 each it's a rip off.
Personally, I always knew this was the next logical step, but at $2000 per pair what's the point?
It's just a small, low powered CPU with a USB port and audio outs. That should not cost a grand. This is about $250 worth of parts, tops.
I'd actually buy one if this were $500-600, but this is a piss take. Maybe they'll bring out a cheaper model..... |

The only thing I like about them is the touch screen.
Even though we are using more digital music than ever before, I still want to be able to play cd and maybe even vinyl out in clubs. |

As you do for the XDJ 1000 if playing from rekordbox
I assume these can be used as controllers ad well for Traktor etc although thats not mentioned, if they cant be used as controllers that would make them even more useless. |

Once you prep your USB drive with songs, that's all you need. The only thing stand alone on s8 is the mixer. |

| Yeah, Sarah's right, anyhow HID Midi integration is just showing off and it feels more tactile than just using usb flash drives and I like it. |

| I just wish there was a little box, with an illuminated LED text screen and a USB port that would allow me to play digital track via my turntables. I'm seriously considering learning arduino just to make it. |

| Honestly as long as they retain the quality platters I don't care if no more CD. |

A FAQ would be nice so we wouldn't have to answer the same questions over and over again. 300-206 study
You could also link the current stickies into it so we wouldn't have so many cluttering up the top of the forum. |

+1
Or a hybrid turntable that has a button that can choose between analog or digital, yeah some kind of sorcery :wtf: |
