Samsung Galaxy S5. Caseless. Because I like to live dangerously.
I used to have the S3 before this, and really liked it. I only upgraded because my 2 year contract was up and I could get a new phone for free. |

| I'm still bitter that my S3 just stopped working for no apparent reason :whip: |

DjRANN thx for the detailed galaxy s3 post.
Battery life: I've read about this. You can buy better after market battery or spare to swap.
Screen: too bad. My current phone has a soft screen dropped dozens of times with no effect. I'd rather have a scratch than a crack seems dumb they're all hard screen. I'm more inclined to get a case than insurance any recommendations? I used have an otter but after a few months found it cumbersome.
I'm careful person but occasionally my phone dumps out of side pocket getting out of the car, pulling it out of jean pocket to answer a call, or my dam cat knocking it off the night stand.
The cool factor isn't important I depend on my phone for my job and current phone doesn't support most apps and is always running out of internal ram. It's hard to believe but I hardly use my computer anymore. |

| How the do you people drop so many phones? I think I've dropped a phone maybe three times in my life, with the worst damage being some light scuffing. A lot of my friends go through 2+ phones a year. I just don't understand it. |

I forgot to mention this summer a yellow jacket landed on my phone hand in the middle of a call. Guess what happened.
I don't know why but the thought of stu running his hand over his naked phone is setting off homo-erotic alarm bells in my head. |

| Back on topic, the one thing I didn't like about the S3 was that due to its shape, it sometimes felt a little difficult to hold on to. Like it was a bit to smooth and curved or something. The was especially noticeable in hotter weather (so like most of the year here) during a long call, my hand would get sweaty and the phone would get a little slick. Nearly dropped it a couple of times from that. The newer models seem to have eliminated that issue. |

Yeah, that must be really tough. |

Sounds like you like something big to wrap your hand around. ;)
I can get a case to give it grip. My current phone has a thin rubber coating on the back and side. I'm already getting nostalgic. *sniff *sniff |
