| Personally, im not a fan of prog, and in the near future I don't think I will become one, simply because im not really interested in the genre. However that doesn't mean i don't think people should discuss it on these boards, I mean if every topic of discussion was strictly asigned to one subgenre how tedious would these boards. So I don't see the problem with that. What I do have a problem with however is the patronizing elitist attidues of some people on these boards, who think they have been "selected" as a "higher" class of people to listen to "higher" class "intelligent" music. It really pisses me off. I'm not denying that no epic trance (or whatever) fans are not guilty of this too, becuase they definitely are, but more and more i see prog discussed (not by all i hasten to add) as some form of godly music that we all should listen too or be eternally damned. I think if we don't like something, just don't listen to it! Simple as that really innit. |

you should hear some of the DnB freaks go on about trance... :rolleyes:
i dont see the point in getting into an arguement over this - some people just arent able to see things from another persons point of view... and this goes far beyond tastes in music unfortunately |

We can all listen to what we like. So, if you don't like the genre, don't flame and bitch because it won't change anything.
