Thanks people, I've got a bit of astral projection stuff, it's good but not quit as different from other stuff as the set i downloaded the other day, I'm going to have to hunt for the other stuff you mentioned as soon as these exam things are over.

Psy and Goa trance are awesome! Haven’t heard much, but the stuff I have heard is class! ‘specially Oakenfold’s Goa Mix Silver and Voyage Into Trance.

Astral Projection are amazing too...Mahadeva, what a great track! It has so much energy, brilliant stuff :D

hehe yeah they're mad! i have the goa mix and journey into trance, mine has a second disc mixed by danny rampling which is even crazier than the oakey cd!
OMG mahadeva!!! :eyespop: i love it!!!!!!!!

if you get livesets by most the names mentioned already, they are generally just the artist performing their own tracks. there are a couple of club nights for psy trance, theres a thread in this forum about '3d' on fridays, also theres like shin yeng or something like that on monday nights, and somewhere on sunday nights as well. hehe i havent actually been to any of them yet, when exams are over ill have to check them out though!

True, absolute brilliance! Just the whole way the GOa mix is mixed is awsome! Mahadeva is Astral's best song in my opinion, and also Solid Electronics and Ionised.
ALso gotta love that Man With No Name!! What happened to this guy? He hasn't made anything for ages! Or I just don't know about it?

Most releases from Transient are pretty good. transient singles collection 99-02 is a wicked album.

Even some melb stuff on green ant is worth a check out:D

I used to like psy trance, still do but hardly ever listen to it... I don't even get hte chance to listen to most of the stuff I download!

I have a few CDs, e.g. Astral Projection - Trust in trance, is awesome. Psy trance often have awesome eye-candy covers.

I used to occasionally listen to tranceport on 2SER on Thursday nights, I'm not sure if it's still on, it's been years since I last listened. I don't think I'd class the music they played as psy trance, but I could definitely feel a psy trance culture/community in the show. The music was very hard stuff... often sounding like being inside a heavy industrial factory... I feel the music was kind-of related to psy trance, they advertised bush parties ("doofs"?)... and parties like Swarm. I presume such parties are where you'd hear psy trance being played. Has anyone been to psy trance parties?
