That won't work because it's tied to your PACE/iLok account (but you can use the computer-based licensing, or an iLok dongle). It needs to be authorized on their end before it will install. They've been having server issues, so just hang tight until they get them resolved. |

So do I have to buy an iLok to make an account?
I may have to in that case as I do plan on grabbing some sound toys stuff in the future... |

Yeah, all soundtoys use an Ilok.
Being a former Protools engineer, I hate ilok with a passion and hope they go under, so I refuse to buy anything that uses an ilok. |

Yeah I said that at one time after I read about them losing customer data and people getting "locked out" of their stuff.
Still, I can't deny that there are quite a few nice plugins that are iLok only. |

NO, you do NOT need to buy an iLok. The new system allows you to use either the PACE desktop authorization (free and no dongle needed), or a dongle. It's been that way for their last few plugins and will be the same for all their native plugins once v5 is released. |
