So who is making/playing decent progressive these days? the kind if stuff from around the early-mid 00's ie lemon 8, chable, MFA, sasha, Yunus guvenun, Bedrcok etc

A lot of stuff I am seeing labeled prog sounds nothing like what I would call or consider prog to me
I've been out of the game and not following stuff since 2007 when everything went to seemingly and it was all minimal or electro crap

You might have a hard time with this. In my opinion pretty much everything that comes close today has something in it that's slightly "off" when compared with the progressive from the early 2000s. I'm referring to subtle things in percussion and use of synths.

how about this?

too inoffensive?

Just wanted to chime in and credit the artist who drew the picture in the youtube video - Esao Andrews.

Amazing stuff, check him out.

Hard to find such sounds nowadays. That's also the reason why I'm starting own label (Deepersense Music) very soon. My team loves oldschool prog sounds as much as I do, so hope it will be a good alternative for prog tech house. Time will show ;)
For now I enjoy music from labels like Matteo Monero's "Never Too Late Recordings" or AquAdro's "Revelation Records", also several releases from Mistique Music, Bonzai Progressive and Joof Recordings.

You can also check out tracklists from Spectrum show on Frisky Radio, maybe you will find something which may direct you on sounds you are interested in ;)

I usually get my updated prog fix from progressive elements tucked away in other genres, but some of the guys from bedrock are still producing, like guy J is still doing a lot of work. RPO has caught my attention, I forgot about that guy yet some of his new releases definitely caught my eye.

It's a shame Kintar went all Tech house, honestly his input has been very boring.

Mistique Music old stuff was amazing I mean listening to some of the old stuff was just out of this world. I hope you make something like G-Pal - Ophra or Nikola Gala - Subterra

Started a thread last month, maybe you'll find some good posts there: http://tranceaddict.com/forums/show...threadid=705581

It's pretty hard to find decent Progressive these days but it's certainly better than a few years ago which was almost non-existent...more labels and artists popping up. Most modern prog tracks lack undulation which is key imo.

Check out Temporum Music...they get a lot of top talent. Excellent label.
