If you want stuff just to work and focus on making music, OSX.
If you want to use lots of free 32 bit only VSTs on a cracked version FL Studio and tear you hear out every time you need to mix another signal from USB, Windows.
If you are poor / have too much free time Linux.

That is until your FireWire just decides it doesn't want to work anymore :(

I'm trying to sort it atm but if I can't the biggest kick in the stones is that the warranty on my mac ran out 7days ago. :mad:

Oh, and as for cracks, nearly everything you need is available for mac (ahem, but we don't condone that sort of thing here).
