this has got to be one of the best mix cd's done. for my money it bests anything sasha or digweed have put out.
it's dark and driving, spacey, some great underground progressive trance in there, has lots of twisted and tribal-edged tracks, and it is ram packed full of hits.
a great example of "all killer", the bombs just keep dropping - a sign of the times i believe (2000) where the quality to quantity output was unrivaled for dance music. anywhere you dive into the mix, there's never a dull moment. i defy anyone to find a track!
it is also notable that the tracklist isn't full of famous tracks, but choice records bespoke for this style of mix.

it's a great mix too, i didn't warm to it at all initially, funnily enough. i have both on cd. they are both in the same vain with their tribal tones - only more progressive house for resolution, and nubreed leaning towards dark progressive trance for the most part, when it gets going.
it's almost like resolution and nubreed could have been two halves of a 5 hour dj set, with some cross over. resolution gets pretty stomping by the end, namely head honcho - walls of jericho :cool:
should definitely revisit it again and try it out, the first cd at least.

Big fan of both. Pappa put out some devastating prog mixes over the years, I'd love to see him do a classics vinyl set.

I love both... nubreed+resolution+GU019 are my fav dark progressive cd mixes. But, imo, resolution is a lot better than nubreed 01... My favorite moment in the entire mix is when 'Love is the drug' appears... 'L.O.V.E (darko vs gainer mix)' is ing dope too, really deep.
I read some reviews saying that the cd01 don't go anywhere blabla but you don't need any direction when the entire mix is so ing good. The mix pays his purpose: to be better as a mix than the tracks itself.

pappa is very underrated as a dj, as i said, i prefer him to sasha/diggers. his prog mixes at the time were unreal.

Proper opener. Sounds from another room is certainly the most underrated album that I've ever heard. Also the entire track selection looks dope as hell.
