While we're on this subject, can someone sane please explain to me why exactly Bruce Jenner is a "hero"?
Now beofre I get flamed in to next year, I truly appreciate it's a difficult thing to come out as gay let alone announcing that your transgender, especailly in the public spotlight.
The part that get's me is that Bruce Jenner has been gay for many years, and people in the entertainment industry have known this for at least 5 years, before Keeping Up with the Kardashians was even an idea.
They milked the happy families bull for every penny it's worth, and now this carefully staged press release, er I mean announcement, typifies everything that is wrong about acceptance in our culture.
Bruce is being hailed as a "hero" - He's a coward; an opportunist who is using his sexuality now that it suits him, and he denied it when it didn't, faking a loveless facade of a marriage. I don't know why the transgender community isn't showing their detest for him.
The coreography of him "letting his hair down" in the interview was about as real as the script for an episode of KUWTK.
The thing that really gets me is that someone else in that family also happens to be gay, many people in the fashion industry knows it, but they spend a fortune making sure it doesn't come out (literally).

As a gay man, i could not agree with you more --- but then again, i don't really understand the trans community all that much, it seems like they are just happy to get any sort of public exposure even if it is from a person like Juice Brenner.
Also, who else in their family is Gay?

Everything aside, I don't think people realize how difficult winning a Decathlon really is. To me, it is the height of 'masculinity' in athletic sport. So, if Bruce was able to win Gold at the Olympics whilst having all this gender confusion I have to say that's pretty ing impressive. Also impressive that he put up with that Kardashian reality show for so long.
Though, it could be argued, that if you feel like a female in a man's body, and push yourself to be as much of a stereotypical man as you can be (aka athlete / Decathlon) ...and then still feel like a female. Then, I guess, any lingering doubt would be removed at that point.

And he is a typical woman to boot: a massive attention whore.

My original point has just been confirmed by Jenner's ex wife.
c0r version; his knew he was gay/transgender 20+ years ago, and he basically hid it for fame. Now it suits him, he's ready to be a "hero" again.
MSZ
Bovine growth hormones did this.

Jenner is no better than the rest of the Kardashian train wreck of a family. There is nothing heroic about the way he pulled the rug out from under his family.

Who is the other person who is Gay
sensorium
The whole clan, even though they constantly have the public's attention, seem to crave for more over and over again. Every little thing one of them decides to do gets blown stupidly out of proportion. Lip challenge, coming out, alcohol abuse, etc.
I'd like to condemn them all for being such attention whores, but most of the shame is on the public for giving them all this attention. The saddest thing is that it is not only a US thing.
