we had a discussion about this in the TomorrowWorld group.. and the consensus was they just flat out hijacked these tracks.. and most of those peeps were newbs.. just wanted to see what producers thought.. |

is it acceptable to copy, melodies, vocals, chord progressions w/ out giving the original artist credit.. EDM to EDM...
I know there are Daft Punk scenario's where they "sampled" 60's 70's and 80's tunes.. but is it different going from Mainstream to EDM versus EDM to EDM? |

so I could go and take Swedish House Mafia's - riff from One.. and then make it a new song.. and call it whatever I want.. even slap an "Original Mix" tag next to it and sell it as my own?? |

The average EDM listener doesn't care if you use someone else song as your own.
I think you need to change your perspective to see the big picture: These are just symptoms of a bigger problem with EDM culture. |

I just keep on concentrating on the sound, bright lights, and vibe.. of course I'd rather be behind the decks, the culture is what its always been.. just a bit more shifted towards the mainstream instead of being segregated.. |
