The Triads are a joke. Chinese movies are actually pretty good 20% of the time. If it is anything romantic, they suck so hard. A dickless nation where is at a premium.

Agree with the consensus that Casino is just a pale imitation of Goodfellas.
It's not about the mafia as such, but any love for Once Upon A Time in America? The full four hour cut, not the bastardised version that was released in the US originally. One of my favourite gangster films, and Ennio Morricone's score has been much plundered by electronic producers down the years. |

Once Upon A Time in America was great, haven't seen it in the longest.
Casino sucked? Wtf are you guys smoking? Great movie. Cop Land was good too, though it doesn't fall into the "best" category.
One of my favs. (of any genre) is definitely Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead , though, which I'm guessing nobody here saw lol. Great frickin' movie. |
