I enjoyed Get Shorty. Funny, smart, fresh take on the mafia/gangster genre

Might as well include the Guy Ritchie movies, as well.

Might as well right back off to where someone likes you. Your parent's house isn't on the list.

Because it sucks?

ty, badly written movie that can't decide what whether it wants to be an erotic thriller or an action flick but doesn't have enough of either to satisfy either audience.

Seeking approval is not on my agenda. Keep trolling though, if you actually manage to say something on point, I might agree with you.

The dialogue is bad to the point it's funny. I don't know what's funnier Woods outbursts, Stallone's acting, or Steiger bad accent "Jewww".

The exploding necklace really got me.

It was during the 90s the hay day of bomb movies (in more ways than one).

Agree with the consensus that Casino is just a pale imitation of Goodfellas.

It's not about the mafia as such, but any love for Once Upon A Time in America? The full four hour cut, not the bastardised version that was released in the US originally. One of my favourite gangster films, and Ennio Morricone's score has been much plundered by electronic producers down the years.

Yes. I do love this movie as well as the soundtrack; however, I had to find room for How Stella Got Her Groove Back.

Once Upon A Time is a great period piece. Leone creates great anticipation throughout the whole thing...it is simply too long and lacking the blatant stereotypes that make a good mob movie good. Call me simple (I am Henry Hill...can't be made), but the kitsch contributes to a good pasta flick.

I wonder why the JFK story was never made into a mafia conspiracy movie
