Okay... what is the deal with Second Sun - The Spell??

| I truly am getting sick of listening to that 1:35 clip of it. so, can anyone answer questions as to if and when it will be released? also, is there a longer or better rip out there and i just can't find it? has this song been played in any live sets by paul? or anyone for that matter... and finally, is that 1:35 clip even The Spell.. cause i've heard so many different things. someone please clear this up! ::looks at fox:: |

hi,
the spell won`t be released this year as far as i know. Prolly 2003.
Paul still plays it on his gigs, but not on his broadcasted sets.

I made it that clip. It's definitely the Spell. There is no better copy of the Spell. A German TA recorded most of the track on his MD recorder but the quality is barely audible at the last Vandit @ Casino party. If you like to hear it live, Paul van Dyk will more than likely play it @ Roxy, November 1st. There are no plans to release this track yet. The earliest looks like late spring of 2003. |

| i dont know what is the deal with paul van dyk, he plays the tune out and then releases it, i would have liked to buy second sun - empire, but by the time it was released (what one year after i first heard it) it was already old and i ididnt want it anymore, who the does he think he is, i dont care if he is paul van dyk, playing a tune for over 1 year and then releasing it is in retarded |

paul is so stupid i swear
same he did with empire..., he plays the freaking tune out till everybody is so sick of it then rlsed it instead of rlsing it in the prime of the track... so STUPID, maybe paul has an obsession or something to NOT rlsing his tracks/mixes

On the contrary. Paul is very smart. By not releasing tracks, he has made his music exclusive thus driving up demand for himself and his parties. I know over a dozen people going to PvD @ Roxy dying to hear Second Sun - The Spell, Animation and other exclusive Paul tracks. If he released everything he would be like any other DJ. He's not in it for the money. A true music purist. |
