Nah, man, it's ignorance and/or denial.
Thing is, they actually had preclinical and clinical trials in Miami in the last decade on Iboga/Ibogaine and interrupting drug addiction. Seems like after they'd heard about one incident of death in the Netherlands, they decided to stop the trials. Meanwhile plenty of people die from over-the-counter Tylenol and antipsychotics, like Risperdal, which is prescribed like candy for anything from insomnia, to depression and anxiety. They also diagnosis virtually everyone who has some sort of depression nowadays with Bipolar. Why? Profit, why else?

| As we discussed last time, you're right: the world only revolves around profit. Follow the money and you'll figure everything out. Those damn capitalists! It's nice that the world is so simple, though. God, I'd hate if things were complex. That would be so scary :( |

I never said they're not at all concerned about people's health, but they're certainly very concerned about lining their pockets. And we're not talking about the world right now (although it may be similar in many other places), but the US. Iboga is legal in most parts of the world, and there are far less psychologically ill people than in the US, as I mentioned above.
Anyway, if MDMA proves to be safer and more effective than other meds, like benzos, for anxiety, then good - I'm all for it. But MDMA (much like benzos) comes with negative side effects and addictive properties, unlike Iboga.
Funny how people here try to argue and ridicule the healing properties of Iboga, whereas they nothing about it, probably not even having done any research themselves. Because if you have done research, you'd realize how important and effective it can be in not only healing, but saving lives. And if you had actually done a session of Iboga/Ibogaine, you'd see for yourself what it really is and what it does (not saying you necessarily should, but if you ever do, you'd have an entirely different (and informed) opinion and perspective). |
