Here's just one testimonial among many. I haven't seen a single case yet where Iboga wasn't 100% effective in eliminating Depression. Sounds too good to be true, perhaps, but it's a real medicine, unlike the meds prescribed that only occasionally help manage a condition, rather than getting to the root of the problem and eliminating it altogether:
I've been around the med-go-round myself, and Iboga is the only thing that got rid of my symptoms and enabled me to function again. You'll find plenty of similar testimonials and reports, where people have also been diagnosed Bipolar (such as myself) and Iboga eliminated symptoms and enabled people to function again, after just one session. As far as negative side effects, there are none (unlike with all these prescribed meds) and causes of death were always linked between either an extremely rare allergic reaction (one normally does a test dose to determine if there's an allergic/adverse reaction), or because of other drugs in the body during an Iboga session (Iboga sensitizes your body during the experience, so taking any drugs during your session can be deadly). As far as a fatality where Iboga itself was responsible, I don't think there has been such a case, with the exception of the rare allergic reaction, which, again, can be determined with a test dose. It can, however, be dangerous if a person has serious heart or liver issues, but is otherwise probably safer and less toxic than taking any of your typically prescribed meds.

Since when was MDMA any good at stopping anxiety?
enydo
Yeah, I really don't buy that for a second. I had one of the absolute worst panic attacks of my life coming up at a festival.
Really put me off the whole thing tbh.
Maybe it can be helpful in cases of PTSD where actually recollecting an event can be traumatic for someone, but I really don't see how taking an amphetamine-based drug is meant to help anxiety specifically.
Mr.Mystery
I suppose it doesn't do that directly, but it helps patients be more open to psychotherapy.
Somehow.

Wouldn't that be like prescribing marijuana to make someone more open to taking work productivity classes?
Mr.Mystery
Now that you mention it...

Not really. MDMA is well documented for making people open up and talk freely about things that they would otherwise struggle to confront. I can definitely see it being useful in therapy, but not for anxiety of all things.
