How can I get a good Live DJ shot?
View this Thread in Original format

Hi all, I'm new to this forum and I actually want to know if it is possible to shoot a live DJ, if so what should be the formalities. I just don't want the show to be disturbed. I'm doing a project for which my video production is mainly done by the firm MJM Media http://mjmmedia.com/ (Hamilton).
I am incorporating few video clips along with theirs and few of the shots is of a live DJ, I need to get the ambiance right, and don't want to put up a set or want a fabricated audience.
I want the whole feel to be so natural, and not even want extra lights from my side.
Is there someone in the forum who has covered any live performance, or any DJ team, who could help on this?

I think you need a permit for that. They're endangered. Most likely, a firearms license would be required too, if you're Canadian, or even if you're just shooting DJs on Canadian soil.

Have someone in the audience offer him a light for his cigarette.

1.Get a hot chick.

2.Get her to go under the booth.

3.When the Dj is unzipped, pull a switcheroo.

4.Choke and suck to the bpm.

5.Take shot in mouth or in face.

6.Profit?
