lol
I started coming here around 2001 and never registered until good music became hard to find with the advent of digital downloads and my local shop closing. I remember so many TAs being pissed when progressive heads flooded MD...wish I could find some of those threads as they were highly entertaining.
TA is like a second family or home for me. |

Its honestly not that bad.
Yea, used to be more posts but there is still a steady stream of new threads, especially in the USA section of the site.
You could always try reddit.....but that place is too big , and there is often too many people there, hard to ever have a good chat about a topic |

I think age and the amount of time this site has been around.
I'm willing to wager a lot of people that used to be active have moved on from the scene, don't go out as much as they used to. Or they simply don't have enough time anymore to keep up with things, more important things came in the way like their own lives. |

and this.
Facebook came along and really killed most conversational/topic forums but TA is still alive and kicking. Some areas are dead (uk subs are a ing ghost town) but the cor, md, prod, dj forums are pretty bouyant.
There's really nothing ilke TA left and right now, I know more people abandoning FB than joining it - it's really used for grannies to keep in touch with their kids now lol. I probably log in once a week now and most of thr crap is shared from other networks like instagram and twitter anyway. I think TA will weather it all and still be around for a long time. |

As long as Swamper doesn't pull the plug, there will be people here.
I grew up on message boards. I was registered on dozens of them. Facebook and others killed off pretty much every single one of them.
I'll be damned if they'll take this one away from me. |

Speaking of social networks, TA also has an instagram......but they dont post pictures frequently enough.
TA will weather the storm indeed, all though some slight changes to TA may be a good thing and help attract more people.
But thats a catch 22, because more is not better in most cases, especially since the modern landscape of dance music is out of equilibrium. |

| Discogs. It was much busier in 2005 and earlier, with the likes of Frankie Bones and Adam X frequently posting. It's similar to TA now, with lots of people having left, etc. but there are still folks with good knowledge in music and some interesting threads and discussions. Much less drama and no circle-jerking, either. |
