hey
i'm looking for some tracks which were before the "dutch trance" era of ~1998-2003
stuff like saccoman - inspiration

Energy 52 - Café Del Mar (Porte De Bagnolet Mix)

bypass - cyberia

cj bolland - the prophet

RMB - Spring

Taucher - Infinity (Phase I)

that should jog someone's memory

cheers
rubez

I have literally thousands of songs in that category, so I'm gonna need to narrow it down a bit...which of these appeals most to you?

already had a listen to it :) i really like it from 6:30 onwards but it takes a while to get there. basically i want to make a old school mix but i didn't really get into trance until early 00s so i'm not well versed in the older ones. ocassionally i come across a old song which is really good so i'm thinking there are quite a few hidden gems left to discover, especially since a lot of these were only released on vinyl in small numbers.

out of those 2 the first is most in the direction im looking for, i was never into proggy trance or deep house much with some exceptions such as billy hendrix - body shine

Probably half my cd collection fits here.

Here some of many which I liked back then, but they could be too old or too fast?
(I'll delete the post if you don't like them.)

Ok something a little more 'serious' and a bit closer to that German sound of 97-98 at 140bpm; I'm going to be practicing my mixing throughout this week and I'll make sure to post whatever I come across like that.
And yes, that's ATB, though the original Sequential One project also featured his friends Spacekid and Woody van Eyden who he remixed for occasionally in the late 90s. They were around for some years producing happy hardcore, eurodance, trance and even some hard trance in their early stages before ATB was established as a solo act. They have some enjoyable releases.

This was my favorite Sequential One track. Sequential one was pretty commercial though and more Euro House. It was played aside e.g. Red5, SM Trax, Dune, Masterboy, Three'N One and DJ Quicksilver. The last two again were closer to trance, sort of in the middle in my view.

Three'N One had some very nice ones (next to their famous remix) and I still love DJ Quicksilver's Bellissima:

I always felt like there was something sad about Sin City.
Quicksilver was one of the first guys along with DJ Tandu who I really invested in. He has some good remixes (Power of American Natives, Water Verve, Trance Emotions etc) but my favorite work of his has to be Bingo Bongo, which unfortunately isn't a popular opinion but I quite like it
