Doesn't look good, which is sad because they are/were a respectable brand that brought in solid talent.
I hope it works out for them, but if what the press is saying is true, then they shouldn't be in business. |

| I think between bad press and a lot of talk of both employees and dj's not getting paid will make it hard to book anyone who isn't already a resident or has a real long standing relationship with them. |

prob the most damming part in the write up is the rent and vacation comment.
cause that, if true, could be tax avoidance, a crime independent of the contract and / or fraud against the investors....
(sure they might have declared these payments, but then, why not just take as reg salary...? this is usually done to avoid income taxes as much as to fleece non-management shareholders...) |

I can't wait to check out Tom and Darrin's new place Terra Firma in Bushwick!
They are definitely some of the most genuine and intelligent people I have encountered in the nightclub industry. I really miss Rise and they always treated me so well. |

i rocked with them dec-jan and the space they have for their party is way too big, the sound for that sized space doesn't match. i prefer the halloween location (why so serious). ain't feel the artist selects either, romanians on a roof during the summer is more fitting
idk maybe its just timing and taste, i enjoy their parties, i just haven't loved them recently. |
