No point of making vague assertions(myself included), I believe he is ghost writing pop hits for a living but im not sure(if thats the case, good for him). Maybe someone that knows him more can shed that light. It doesnt really matter, really unless the guy is crying inside.

quivver even done one! guess that says something about the scene, he was willing to dabble in the commercial side.

thankfully he didn't head in that direction. that would have been the ultimate slap in the face. not that he owes us anything.

these talented guys should make some sort of pact and get a proper scene going again. i don't see that happening though. commercialisation kills everything. it would take grass roots youth to give us something credible again - assuming they stay away from labels, which is almost impossible (what aspiring artist doesn't want to be signed?!)

nah. it's just not as devastatingly bad as the rest.

compare it to his early work then come back and say that. at best it's solid technically, if completely uninspiring and generic.

i don't think its a coincidence that all these previously proven and talented artists are now pumping stuff that wouldn't even get a second look if there wasn't a name attached. their environment is poisonous.

anything and everything he makes today. i don't know them by name. i tried a contemporary release. i'm sure it had a 'harder' mix and/or a dub.

i was like... yeah ok. certainly nothing that got the juices going - nothing i desire to play again.

EDIT: one hundred raw mix was the new track.

what i will do, is give you an example of what i think his last good release was, and you can compare it to any modern day stuff you claim is good.

this track is ing GREAT. if he has something in the last 5 years that comes close to that, i'll eat my words.

carbine is okay. its still only like 3 chords and 2 notes from what i can hear and weaker beats than redemption. as i originally said max graham is 'actually pretty good again' meaning he is doing better than armada prog trance (warm-ups music for ****s).

there is nothing making carbine objectively better than redemption.

if you were talking about something like airtight or bar none then yes - he is not at that standard right now but really i think your nostalgia is making carbine more than it really is for you.

the weaker beats are a plus point - and a MAJOR negative point for todays trance music. can't it be quietly confident? no. everything is super compressed to within an inch of its life these days... big turn off.

and two chords?! so what.

bigger is better is your mentality?

is redemption over compressed? really? it just sounds clean to me.
