Eh, all I care about my job is the pay. It doesn't really matter what I do as long as I get paid enough.

Funnily enough they just made me a supervisor regardless.

While Jacks is an uptight ass, he's observations are usually spot on.

I'm sure you'll say we're ganging up on you but this rings true.

I'm out enjoying my day but I'll have to catch up on the last few pages of this thread when I get home.

Actually no, and I just don't give a . Oh boo ing hoo, you guys don't like me or the way I post. I'm not going to change or stop posting because you don't like it. Ganging up. I'm not some victim. Fags.

Sorry for being on topic here.

Yesterday we went to the Efteling theme park with people of my work and my son who's just 1 cm above the minimum length (120cm) for the Flying Dutchmen suddenly sad he wanted to ride :)

So we did. If I had watched this video before I wouldn't have done it maybe. It was dark and I couldn't see if he was doing okay before we came outside. And there wasn't really a moment to look at him that point...
But he was fine, unlike my colleague's daughter who cried and screamed the place down LOL.

The sound and theming before the ride is amazing though:

I don't care my daughter doesn't like roller-coasters, imagining she would have asked to get in the Baron 1898 :wtf: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xb_43hWuVkQ

Lira, don't you have any, you know, adult clothes? Half joking, half serious question :p

And what was performed?

Hahaha, I do, actually. It was all in Brasilia, and I had no idea we'd go anywhere fancy (I went there for a long week-end). Not that anyone seems to have dressed up - it was a free event, so we plebs took over :p

And she (Fuzjko Hemming) played the usual suspects: Debussy, Mozart, Chopin, and - my favourite - Liszt <3

I'm about as close to my dream job as I can right now. Sure, I'm teaching Japanese rather than linguistics (and I like Japan about as much Jay loves all things Chinese), my wife and I are struggling to teach in the same university, and meetings are way too long, but I'm paid to do what I like (do research and teach about language), and work hours are pretty flexible so, yeah, I definitely enjoy my job!

Don't sweat it, you'll gave plenty of wicked gigs to attend when you hit EU.

I particularly like the "I followed a new friend into Central America" part of this post. Trust me mate, this is the best way to go backpacking. Sure, you'll have some solid plans on places you want to check out, but go with the flow and the good people that you meet as much as you can, it's great. I did this for nearly 3 years... what seems like half a lifetime ago now... and it was the best. The absolute best :)

Not sweating at all, unless it's in this hot ass Mexican sun lol.

This underworld of travelers is amazing. You're totally right. Finding like-minded folks and jumping around together is a part of it, I'm realizing :)

Yeah, it's pretty damn cool. That's how I ended up spending a few months in South Africa. Never a place that I'd ever dreamed of visiting, but I met some really cool people working at the same pub as me in England and we all ended up heading over there. That 3000+ kilometer road trip was one of the most amazing times of my life. We're all still close friends, too.

Have fun, bro.

You hate Japan? Because I hate the out of China.

I'm only here for the opportunity and cash. The people and culture can eat a big bag of dicks.

Lol @ slylee's last post. They are ganging up on me. Time to get on that jet ski and split.

Ah yea, one of my very close friends lives in South Africa. Will definitely end up there one way or another.

Thanks :)

I wouldn't exactly say that, because I've met some wonderful people born there, from friends to (now) family. But let's just say I think of the country as an Adelian ex I broke up with amicably: I'll gladly talk about the country for a career, but I'm jaded and I've had enough, so I wouldn't go back there unless I was feeling lonely and got an ill-timed drunken call.

You know, like Adele would.

No, dummy. I said I do not feel ganged up on as IGK suggested. And you teach English? No wonder you have to work like a dumb dog. I'm sure you'd love it if I felt victimized, but I don't. So keep at it.
