| I'll do a mix, seeing as I actually have some decent gear now. Been slacking with my practicing. I have some ideas of what to play for this theme as well. |

We have a nice strong 2 months to consider a mix in the theme of SUNDAY AFTERNOON. The challenge ends September 30th @ 12AM GMT.
Everyone in that list has the capability of producing a mix by that date. Good luck, everyone! Looking forward to listening! |

| I'm not trying to rock the boat, but is there any reason for a rigorous sign-up process, or closing off the competition? If planetaryplayer feels like he can get a good mix together next month and sticks to the theme, why not let him join in? |

The post has been up for a month now with clear start times and end times. I wouldn't call the signup process "rigorous" either, as it is as simple as saying you will do the mix.
The idea behind keeping a solid timeframe with a set list of participants is to prevent DJ LazyMan from submitting a mix 2 months after everyone has already completed the challenge. That's why it's called a challenge, to produce the mix in the time allotted. Sure I could remove all the rules and let anyone participate, late or never at all, but we already did that in previous challenges and were left with half the people not submitting a mix. I'm making the rules more strict to enforce a higher completion rate.
That said, if planetaryplayer wants to participate, he can. He indeed posted his intentions before sign ups closed. Just PM me or announce it here and I'll add his name to the list. |

Seeing that I suggested the theme, I suppose it's appropriate if I kick things off as well:
So you've been out partying on a Saturday and the night went on a bit long. You wake up the next day waaaay past noon. The sun is shining and the weather is beautiful, but understandably you're not feeling a hundred percent.
You take a painkiller and a tall glass of ice cold water, get comfortable on your sofa, put on your headphones and press play. After a while you can feel the headache recede and your energy levels start to rise.
