korg minilogue (pg. 3)

Yeah in a mix it becomes harder to tell, although it depends on the synth too. If you're using a full beans analogue like Minimoog, Micromac or old Oberheim it becomes much easier to hear the difference, but with these cheap ones you'd be hard pushed to tell the difference.

The funny thing is that you can do an A/B comparison with analogue and software and it'll either be identical or completely different depending on who made the comparison and what they're trying to show.

Yeah, you're probably right. You should definitely buy a Minilogue.

bought, will have it tomorrow. have no interest in the behringer at all. that's when it eventually comes out.

this is my most anticipated piece of gear.

tried valhalla shimmer and vintage verb and they compliment each other really well.

going to use the 3 knobs in the delay section for a clean software delay, and the two valhalla reverbs. or something like that. maybe only two, and the ability to set the time on one.

I wouldnt buy a Behringer synth until there are a few in the wild first but those demos sound promising...

anyone know how many voices it has?

I think the latest teaser vid confirms that it has 4 voices of polyphony. Oh, and DCOs.

tehlord
It does show 4 voice lights, but it also stops at the edge of screen so you don't know if there are any more or not.

It also shows a HPF slider in use (I think) which hints at Juno cloning so I wouldn't be surprised if it was 6.

Does sound good though.

It really does sound good. Looks good, too, from what we can see of it so far.

Also, I just noticed it has both Sample/Hold and Sample/Glide. Nice little unexpected touch.
tehlord
I doubt you'll see much change out of $1k, but that'd still be good value if it's built like their recent stuff.

I'd rather they do it right than do it to a price.

cryophonik
Agreed. Every time I see a new teaser, my guess-timate at the price tag goes up by $100.
