I think my favorite this year has to go to Icarus - Hiding. Heard Jody drop it at an Anjunadeep label showcase in Manhattan a few weeks ago and instantly fell in love with the melody and vox. It's pretty standard melodic house as befitting of the label, probably won't win over anyone not into that sound.
The "found somebody better than you" lyric also resonates a lot since this year I got out of a toxic relationship with a girl of 3 years over the summer, and recently met someone new that seems very promising. Of course, a lot of my favorite songs have a 'story' behind them, usually involving my life situation and/or what I was doing when I heard it for the first time.

got to be this kompakt release. trundles along beautifully... have let the 11 min version play out in its entirety countless times. just doesn't get boring - superb.
those snares are noteworthy, the breakdown is bliss. there's even a bit of yodeling!
10/10 easy. other prins thomas tracks have disappointingly failed to live up to this beast.
