Watching the push video of "live@trance energy 2001," it made me remember that Push is my favorite DJ. The vibe he creates with songs like Universal nation, tranzy state of mind, stange world, till we meet again, are incredible. His remixes are awesome too, back to cali mix, boys n girls mix, troy mix. And didn't he work on ultravibe-choose freedom? I love that song too. Push's style to me is very simple, but complex too. Always creates energy. It just has a very moving vibe to it. Not crazy like acid trance, not funky like house music, not boring like proggy stuff. Simple yet not along the lines of crap of some hardcore. Beautiful like trance but not cheesy.

Anyways, i'm looking for that vibe that Push creates through his songs. So even though no one will ever come close to Push, a.k.a. now offically mike, what DJ's and or songs are similar Push?

There is an artist called "Hypnotic State"

Download this track:
Hypnotic State - Empathy

(If you can't find it, I can rip it for you)
Very similar style to Push.

Try stuff by Yves Deruyter, most of his stuff is co-produced by M.I.K.E and has a generally very similar sound to it. Try 'The Rebel' and 'My Style'.

Yeah, Yves Deruyter stuff is great. Two more awesome tracks are Feel Free and Factor Y, but The Rebel is probably still my favourite. More recently Yves and L-Vee put out a vinyl under the name Rebelgrooves. The tracks are called Automatic and Wild Life and are well worth checking out, especially Automatic. :)

I think you should taker a closer look on John `00` Flemming, a

great dj in my opinion....I suppose you like his colaboration with

M.I.K.E. on Ice Cream, and there`s plenty of good works from the man.

I love john oo fleming also. But I listen to his stuff when I feel like taking a journey with his music. Much more dreamy and amazing to listen to. Push gives me energy and makes me wanna dance. Yves Deruyter has some cool stuff. And i'm gunna check out M.i.k.e.'s full discography. I wouldnt call push completly progressive. Kinda hard to define what genre exactly push is.
