Which party do you like to have control over the US ? now with George Bush ( Republican ) we can see how REPUBLICANS ARE .. while Bill Clinton represents what the DEMOCRATS are ... this is just an example for outsiders..

I tend to agree... I think one plus about clinton was economic prosperity.. but I think even clinton himself would have admitted his lack of national policy, and ability in national affairs.

I think it is sad people respect a leader who will lie to them.... but I guess that is there choice..

(R) I tend to agree mostly with Republican policies.. :) but there are a few things that I do not think either party hits on that I'd like to change.. but I will not go into it now :P :)

If I had to choose, I'd have to go with the Democrats.

The vast majority of Democrats are stupid, but the Republicans are downright dangerous.

Of course, over the last couple of decades, the two parties have become eerily similar. But still for now I think the Democrats are the lesser of two evils, mainly because the Republicans inexplicably allow themselves to be associated with religion in ways I cannot stomach.

Personally, I think it is sad that a good leader could be persecuted for having "sexual relations" with another woman. Clinton did a lot of good things, not just for his own country but for the rest of the planet, and I think it is indicative, in a way, of Republican values that they should try and impeach him on the grounds of what was, essentially, their own self-righteous, puritanical moral outlook.

He may have lied, sure, but to be honest I think what he lied about was far too trivial to condone the fuss that followed. So what if he did or did not have sex with Monica Lewisnki? A president should be judged on his policies, not what he does in his bedroom (or the oval office in this case ;) ). Besides, it's not as though he was the first politician ever to "lie" in front of the public.

Important point, and one I can associate with here (given that both the Labour and Liberal parties here are moderate right with their policies, and don't seem to disagree on too much). What the point of having a democracy if the only choices offer more or less the same result?

I still keep wondering
a, if gore had been elected, would the 9/11 actions have happened (99% yes) but still...
b, how Gore would have handled the terrorism issue...
Personally I cant imagine him in the role of a hard man fighting the terrosits worldwide (which can be seen negatively or positively by many of you)
SpykeChyld
Osama would have in' laughed at Gore. lol.

If Gore would have taken over office we would be in the same mess we are now. It's not because we have a Republican in office. To say so is ignorance. The president himself is about 5% of what goes on in our country at any given time. He alone does not make or brake a nation. He can't. I'm not saying if a Democrat too over that things would be worse. I'm saying that we don't know.

But the Republicans seem to have a better head on their shoulders when it comes to political issues. I will agree our economy was better with Clinton, but our economy goes in upward and downward swings anyway.

And as for Clinton, I think he should have just said "Hell yeah, and it was good!"

blame it on the socio-democratic-liberal activists - those close minded fools that reject to hear other opinions and press for what they want until they end up going against what they stand for; whatever that may be.

ROFL. Thats in' awesome!

Well, WE dont know nor say PERCENTAGE if Osama would have attacked if Gore was on charge, nor we CANT say or see how he would have handled it. I think BUSH used the opportunity of TERRORISM to get it involved with politics, as it has showned, his been hanging with it for quite a long time now, its Nationalism that keeps him up there, if there was not TERRORIST attack, what would it be for this country ? it was allready going downfall with Bush been on charge.

As of Clinton, its HIS freaking LIFE ! the nation is not suppost to care what the president does with his personal life, if he LIED he had a reason to, he arguably had in stake his reputation and family matters, which if he did wrong, its a FAMILY buisness, not a NATIONS buiseness. Its not a lie like Republicans have done in the past with PROPAGANDA and so on . At last, Bush is using the attack agaisnt Iraq as a way to push his popularity ( only for NATIONAL means ) ... where its his war on terrorism ? ? Bin Ladin lately ? ..

If you're a tranceaddict and a Republican you're a bigass hypocrite.

Our electronic music movement is a progressive one in essence, read the RAVE Act if you wanna see what Republicans think of the music and culture we love.

Why do you think trance is the biggest in the Netherlands, the most progressive and liberal place on Earth? Because society is open-minded and can understand the most innovative artistic expressions on Earth.

im sorry thats just plain BS...
firstly the RAVE act is a non-partisan act... as in both sides are for it. infact only the senate has voted in favor of the act, and remember who has the majority in the senate right now, yup the democrats. the house has yet to act on the measure.

i tend to favor republicans more only because they take an approach closer to mine when it comes to foriegn policy, which is the most important issue for me. even on the economic sense i prefer R over D. but when it comes to other issues such as religion and social liberalism i tend to favor democrats a lot more, i feel on those issues the republicans are so damn conservative and afraid of change.

however that said i really do feel the line between R and D is blurred here in the states. i mean sheesh i see ads that go "vote for me, a democrat, because i will improve our education system." come on how exactly does the democratic party differ then the republican on this one? they both want to improve the education... no real difference in how one can do that other then setting aside more money for it, has nothing to do with party lines. same goes for a bunch of other local issues (home insurance for one which is a big issue now in texas).

The RAVE Act may be non-partisan but it is extremely right wing in its essence. There's no huge difference btw. Democrats and Republicans in most issues right now b/c they have both moved to the center for obvious political gains. But in social issues, such as the RAVE act, Democrats will naturally be way more open minded and accepting that the old guard of the GOP.

You also mention foreign policy and I see a Israel flag in your avatar. No great difference there btw. both parties either. Well, Republicans are more nationalistic, isolationist and protectionist----Ideals that imo also go against the electronica culture which promotes global equality and the erosion of frontiers through music that is not intrinsic to any particular national culture.

Two things: DJ PíO: directly attacking republicans is almost taunting flames... please do not call them 'big ass hippocrates'... dissing on other people for their beliefs is retarted... just explain your view, and flame wars wont start.. you came in here when only views were asked and started attacking all TA republicans.

Liquid X... typing in big BOLD letters that are all caps does not make your points any more valid....

I personally think the RAVE act is more an act of 'older people' than one of a particular party.... parties will always happen... maybe other things need to change.. who knows...

:conf:

but please guys, no flames... and no trying to act like you are bigger or more important.............................
