It's Frappucino Friday here at the office and I'm the most awake now than I've been all week. Not doing much else tonight except playing some tribal prog and opening up this bottle of Louis Martini Cabernet Sauvignon. Tomorrow will be a short 5 hour shift then I'm off to the theater to watch the It remake. The one they just opened up by my apartment got new recliner seats and beers on tap, but I'm unsure if I want to drink during a horror movie. Might steal away from the frightfulness.
Ah well, to corporate Murica. You suck most of the time, but you got your moments. :p |

You found some Tribal prog then :D
Busy three days ahead prepping due to the Emmy's so not much rest for me. Checking in on family in London but thankfully none of them live south of the river so no real danger, with exception to my Brother in law who is a met copper. But damn, does Trump need to keep his trap shut. Got a smackdown from Theresa this morning. |

I was able to clean out my file cabinet a few weeks ago - with the arrival of the baby I finally got around to properly organizing my important documents, etc. (and create a file for the baby's most importantly).
So yeah, gonna have my husband clean out his "junk drawer" and get all his stuff filed properly too. WOOHOO!
Any sort of normalcy is what I look forward to now, lol. I was out doing yard work a couple weeks ago and, while I did always enjoy it, I loved just getting outside for an hour to do mundane . |

Wednesday-Friday was my first time working again after getting a concussion a few weeks back, and although they were only half days and from home, I'm feeling rather enervated now. Planning on a rather relaxing weekend now, with no plans other than going to a street fair nearby tomorrow.
Glad to hear the child finally arrived, Jenny; hope everything is well in that regard :) |

Thanks, 5 weeks tomorrow! Feel like I'm finally settling into some kind of groove. :)
How'd you get a concussion?? |

Fun with friends whom I met in Mexico. Haven't seen them since I got here.
Staying off the computer - long week working on it. |

Today we'll host a Japanese language "speech contest" in my university and I'll watch the students give it a shot. I kind of regret not suggesting a rap battle instead.
Sure, it would probably have fallen on deaf years, but I like to think the fall itself would've counted as a sick drop :( |

Just a stupid accident, partly my fault. Really just a perfect storm of variables coming together.
This was my third concussion, though, so apparently I'm doomed to get dementia, now :(
The most amusing part of the whole thing was when we went to the hospital (my head was bleeding profusely) and they asked me if I had taken any drugs that evening. I said no, I never take drugs, and the triage nurse winked and said 'sure, me neither, but how about tonight?' I don't think she believed me :p |

Got in from work, ate, and slept for the best part of two hours.
We're moving flat next weekend, and I've got a whole bunch of to sort out, so nothing fun will happen for the next two weekends. The whole episode is stressing me out considerably, to be honest. We're moving from furnished to practically unfurnished and the amount of to buy is exhausting. And then we got the keys last night and there's a whole bunch of high-level (3m+) lights not illuminating, which has to be reported as a fault with no firm lead time on when they will be fixed. Not a very promising start to life with a new landlord when you're reporting repairs on a property you don't even live in yet. |

LOL
And damn THIRD? You obviously have a thick skull lololol. I had a very mild concussion once and I felt so insanely out of sorts for almost a month - like I was watching myself live my life from outside my mind/body and not actually participating. Just a massive fog.
And eh, I'm sure most of our brains are gonna be ed anyway...from alcohol if nothing else, lol. |

Well, I drink the recommended 40g of pure alcohol of every day, just to help check everything :o
Yeah; one concussion was 100% unfortunate and weird as hell - literally, I was hit by a rock falling from the sky :(
The second was my fault, caused by a skiing mistake.
This one, meh.
The worst part of the whole thing is being told I need to rest and not push myself; I ing hate resting and love to push myself :( |

| The Wrath of Irma (TM) has finally left TN, so I will be do ze dreaded yard work one day. My paternal grandmother passed away Wednesday about a month shy of 91. I will miss her terribly, but at the same time I am relieved that she won't linger for years in a nursing home, which she vocally and vehemently opposed. :( |
